How to Make YouTube Play in the Background on Your iOS and Mac
You might have wondered how to make YouTube play in the background on your iOS device. iOS by default sets the media player to the music library, but you can use Dolphin or Opera browsers to play videos from YouTube. Once you have opened YouTube, the video title appears in your control center, and you can press play to let it continue playing. Even when your phone is in sleep mode or you switch between apps, your video will keep playing. However, there are some workarounds you can use if the YouTube loop keeps disappearing.
Request desktop site
If you’re looking for a way to play YouTube in the background on your Mac, you can tell Safari to display the desktop version of the website instead. To do this, tap the A icon at the top-left corner of your screen and then click Request desktop website. Read also : How Old Is YouTube?. Once the desktop site is displayed, type in a title or artist and click the magnifying glass. YouTube will display a list of videos matching the text.
If you’d prefer to play YouTube videos on your Mac, you can request a desktop site instead. This process is similar to what you’d do on your PC. Just go to YouTube.com, search for the video you want to watch, and then exit the app. To resume playing a video in the background, open the Control Center in Safari or Chrome. You’ll see the same settings as when you’re watching a video on a computer.
To request a desktop site for YouTube, open a browser or desktop website. You’ll need to enter the URL of the video in the address bar. Make sure to avoid opening the video from Google search results. If you’re playing YouTube in the background, you’ll need to uncheck the option “Request desktop site later”. Once you’ve done that, you can use the mobile view as usual.
Minimize player
You can easily play YouTube videos in the background and minimize the size of your video window with the help of the Minimize YouTube player application. This application is similar to many other video streaming applications. When the video is not in use, it will remain minimized to the bottom of the display screen. See the article : How to Upload Video on YouTube Step-By-Step. Hence, you can enjoy watching YouTube videos while multitasking. This application is free and has a built-in ad blocker.
There are a few disadvantages to this app, however. Besides being limited to a small screen, Minimize turns off the music when you lock the screen. In addition, the app is not suitable for listening to music in your pocket. To solve these issues, you can use a browser instead. However, you should note that most YouTube apps are on external websites and not developed by Google. Thus, if you want to play YouTube in the background on your iPhone, you’ll need a desktop version of the app.
If you have an Android smartphone, you can use the Picture-in-Picture mode to multitask. This mode is available only for users with the latest YouTube version. In order to use Picture-in-Picture mode, you must be a YouTube Premium member. Otherwise, you cannot enjoy this feature. There are other ways to minimize YouTube in the background. One of them is to use a free browser, such as Google Chrome or Firefox.
Brave browser
If you love listening to YouTube videos, you’ll love Brave browser’s background video feature. This feature lets you listen to songs without the need to turn on your computer screen. Simply click a button to open the Brave settings menu and select the “Multimedia” tab. To see also : How to Get YouTube TV on Your TV. After downloading the browser, follow the steps above to enable background video on Brave.
If you’ve ever experienced the YouTube not playing in the background problem in the past, you’re not alone. Brave users have been experiencing this issue for quite some time. It is possible that your user profile files or host cache files are corrupt, causing a conflict with websites. Alternatively, you may have choked up your idle and flush sockets and they need to be cleared. This is easy to do. Open your user profile menu by clicking on the 3-horizontal line menu icon. Click the “User profile” option. Enter a name and color for the profile and save it. If you prefer, you can create a desktop shortcut to this profile.
Once you’ve installed Brave on your device, you can start enjoying YouTube videos without interruption. Simply start the Brave browser, open the video source, and click “Playlist.” Then, choose a video and hit Add to Playlist. If you’re using a mobile phone, it’s better to choose a device with a higher storage capacity, such as a Mac. In any case, make sure to enable background video playback in Brave browser.
