I first heard the sultry rap of Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke when I was a kid. He was a youngster then, but he had a lot of potential. In mid-February 2020, Pop was on a plane bound for Los Angeles to record an album with 808 Melo and Christian “King” Combs. I thought his rapping was too good to be true, but I was wrong. He had to wait a bit before he could reveal his full talents to the world.
