Here are a few tips for managing guest interaction in a twitter space.
In the Twitter Space, tap on the “people” symbol in the lower right corner to manage your participants. The people icon displays the number of people currently in the Space and who has requested to speak. When a user requests to speak, the host must accept them before they can add other speakers. If someone has said something inappropriate or is disruptive, you can report them to Twitter and block them from speaking in the future. Finally, you can terminate the Space by tapping Leave in the top right corner. It will automatically end when it violates Twitter Rules.
Report a violating twitter space
One of the first steps to reporting someone is to visit their Twitter account and click on the “Report a violating Twitter space” link. The website will take you to a page where you can select a reason for the violation and choose whether you want to remain in the Space or leave it. Then, follow the instructions to report the violator. This can help you prevent other users from violating your Space.
Spaces are scheduled to launch publicly on Twitter in April 2021. While they promise to foster exchange of information and dispel harmful stereotypes, they are often used to reinforce racism or preconceived notions. In October, Twitter found a bug that misled its software and promoted harmful live audio chats. Twitter says it’s working to fix this problem but until then, you can report violating Spaces to avoid them from becoming public.
