Why Can’t I See Fleets on Twitter?
Twitter’s latest feature is no longer visible. The fleets feature, similar to rival Snapchat, disappeared within 24 hours. The shutdown was due to a lack of new user engagement. A pair of tweets announced the shutdown, and some users sent risqué farewell messages to the service. Twitter, however, declined to comment on the issue. Spaces
If you are hosting a speaking panel at an event, you may wonder why you don’t have a Twitter Space. The reason is simple: Twitter Spaces allow users to host and listen to audio chatrooms. They will only be visible to the participants during the conversation, and will not appear publicly afterward. Twitter will retain copies of these conversations for 30 days. Speakers or hosts can also download the transcriptions.
Unfortunately, Twitter’s algorithm is not very good at finding discussions on Spaces. Since conversations are live, the algorithm doesn’t recognize them as being particularly valuable or interesting. In addition, there’s no way to moderate or categorize discussions. While you can search for specific topics, you can’t view discussions in your timeline until you’ve finished them. That’s a big downside of Spaces, but there are some solutions to this problem.
Instagram Stories
Fleets are disappearing from Twitter, but don’t worry. Fleets are still a valuable tool for promoting deals and giveaways. These fleets contain codes that are unique to each user and can only be seen within that fleet. However, Twitter only allows you to create a Fleet once, and there’s a limit of 24 hours to which it will last. Unless you’re an industry giant, fleets can’t last forever.
If you can’t see fleets on Twitter, try turning off Wi-Fi or Mobile Data on your device, and then tap Fleet. If that doesn’t work, try uninstalling and re-installing the Twitter app. Afterwards, you can view the Fleet next to the one you’re looking for. Instagram’s version of Twitter’s Fleets
Snapchat’s disappearing stories feature was the first of its kind, and Instagram rolled out the feature in 2016. Following in its footsteps, other social media companies are expected to follow suit. However, unlike Snapchat, Instagram’s version of Fleets isn’t going to let people delete their posts or share screenshots. Rather, they’ll be disappearing after 24 hours. As a result, Instagram’s Fleets feature isn’t going to get people flooded with notifications, as Snapchat and Facebook did.
After the platform’s launch, Twitter has announced that the feature will be discontinued on August 3, 2021. Unlike Instagram Stories, Fleets allows you to post short videos and photos that disappear after 24 hours. The feature was launched in Brazil and later spread to other countries. However, it has since been taken down from Instagram. Despite being a popular app, the platform doesn’t have a clear relaunch date.
Back-end server issues
Twitter is fixing a bug that keeps fleets accessible for up to 30 days, TechCrunch reports. The bug prevents users from deleting fleets and is caused by a flaw in Twitter’s back-end server. While Twitter does not delete fleets, they do retain them for at least 30 days, and sometimes even longer. This means that any user can download and view fleets indefinitely, and it can be abused to archive fleets.

Mobile-only feature
