Jawed Karim

Jawed Karim was born in Merseburg, East Germany, and went on to study computer science at the University of Munich. There, he met his future business partners, Steve Chen and Chad Hurley. The two teamed up to create YouTube and later sold it to Google parent company Alphabet. Since then, Jawed Karim has invested in many other Internet startups and has nurtured the creative dynamism in Silicon Valley.

Chad Hurley
YouTube was co-founded by Chad Hurley, a former PayPal employee and webmaster. Hurley was responsible for the logo and the tagging of uploaded content.
