In addition to the Google advertising dollars, the company has also committed $275 million to African American small businesses and black artists on YouTube.
Black stories
When it comes to YouTube, there are a variety of stories about Black history, including the incredible achievements of Muhammad Ali, one of the most popular athletes of all time. Another YouTube channel celebrating African culture is Tata Storytime, which enlists the talents of award-winning Black actors and actresses. Those who create the videos hope to inspire kids and broaden their understanding of cultural diversity. Black voices
A new program on YouTube will amplify the voice of Black artists and creators by providing seed funding, mentorship, and training for aspiring creators. The YouTubeBlack Voices Fund will award over $400,000 to emerging Black artists and creators who want to make music, share their experiences, and create a new social platform for African-Americans and people of color. Currently, 54 artists have been chosen to join the Class of 2022.
The fund will help support aspiring Black creators and artists from emerging countries around the world. This initiative has already helped over 300 Black creators, artists, and producers from diverse countries across the globe. As part of this initiative, YouTube has made it possible for emerging Black creators to take their talents to the next level by creating videos that resonate with the viewers. And if they’re looking for funding, the program has a lot of opportunities for them.
