How to Block People on TikTok
If you are not interested in communicating with a person on Tiktok, you can block them using your profile page. To do so, locate the person you wish to block and tap the three-dot icon on their profile page. Select Block and confirm. Note that you can report suspicious accounts. If you want to block someone, you must have at least five followers, but if you are only following a few people, you should choose to unblock them.
Unblocking a user
If you’ve been blocked by a user on TikTok, you can easily unblock them. To do this, open the TikTok app on your smartphone, and look for the person icon in the lower right corner. Once you’ve done that, you can view their content again.
Once you’ve unblocked someone, you’ll want to go to their profile and confirm your action. By default, TikTok hides videos, comments, and profiles from other users. Unblocking them is easy, and you can undo your action any time you want. Once you’ve done this, you can go back to their profile and see their videos. You can then send them messages or unblock them as necessary.
Reporting a user
You may want to report a user on Tiktok for content or account that is offensive. To do so, click on the three vertical dot icon in the top-right corner of the user’s profile. If you’re not sure what to do next, you can also delete the user’s account altogether.
To report a user, navigate to their profile and then tap the black icon that resembles a music note. From here, you can search for the user and report them. Or, you can open their profile and click on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner. Tap on the flag icon to open a pop-up menu. Choose the appropriate reason and click the report button. Once this is complete, you’ll be notified of the decision and action taken by Tiktok.
Removing a follower
You may have unfollowed someone on TikTok. You can remove them from your account by going to their profile and hitting the three-dot menu. This will prevent them from following you in the future. It’s best to do it from both your computer and phone so that you’ll know the effect on their profile.
You can also unfollow them if you’ve decided to stop following them. However, be careful. TikTok will not notify you of such actions. You’ll want to limit the number of posts you make on TikTok to one or two each day and stay relevant. This way, you’ll avoid spamming and annoyances. Reporting individual chat messages
There are three methods for reporting individual chat messages on TikTok. First, you can contact TikTok using the feedback form found in your web browser. Afterward, you must fill in the appropriate information and wait for three days for the report to be processed. You will have access to information about settings, group names, and user profiles. Note that the Request report does not include chat history. Exporting the chat history requires a separate step, and these steps vary for different devices. You can create a full backup of the entire chat history, or you can export individual chat messages and send them to an email or TXT file.
After you’ve created a report, you can choose whether or not you’d like to report a particular chat thread or the entire chat thread. To do this, tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the video to access the options for reporting.
