If you’re passionate and compassionate about your career, unpublishing is a better option than deleting it. Otherwise, you may find it useful to merge your page with another similar one in the future. If you don’t have the time to keep up with it, you can merge with another similar page and maintain its popularity.
While deleting a Facebook page is a drastic measure, unpublishing a page is a much less dramatic option. When done correctly, unpublishing a page only hides your page from the public. The reason for unpublishing your page will be displayed only to the page manager. Unpublishing your Facebook page is only temporary. Simply login to your account and choose the page you want to hide. You can always return to it later by clicking on “Publish Page” again to re-publish your page.
