Using the self-destructing messaging feature
If you are a Facebook user, then you are probably familiar with the self-destructing messaging feature, also known as ephemeral messaging. In essence, it is a type of messaging where messages are deleted once they have been viewed. Besides protecting your privacy, ephemeral messages are also used for a variety of legal purposes, such as when you want to communicate confidential information or use your account to buy illegal substances. The only thing to note is that the recipient is still able to record what they send, which is a potential security risk.
In addition to ephemeral messaging, the self-destructing messaging feature is very useful for security purposes. In other words, ephemeral messaging reduces your risk of being exposed to unwanted information or embarrassing messages from friends. This feature ensures near-perfect privacy. You can also safely delete the messages that you have discarded in case you want to reactivate your Facebook account.
