To do this, first uninstall the YouTube app. If you do not want to delete your account, uninstalling the updates will only remove the shorts from your account. To enable the shorts again, you can mark the videos as &#8220;Not interested&#8221; and refresh the homepage. The videos will be displayed in your homepage after refreshing it.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Install\"><\/span>Install<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re not a fan of watching short videos, you might want to disable shorts on YouTube. This is possible in two ways. The first is to simply mark them as &#8220;Not Interested&#8221; and they&#8217;ll not appear in your feed again for 30 days. This method also works for YouTube web users. To disable shorts on YouTube, open the Shorts section and tap the three dots. If you&#8217;re not interested in any of the videos in the section, tap the not interested option and choose a day.<\/p>\n<p>Next, select the three dots on the right-hand side of the video you&#8217;d like to remove. Click &#8220;Not interested&#8221; and it&#8217;ll be removed. You can also uninstall the YouTube app and reinstall it to get the previous version without shorts. When you&#8217;re finished with that, refresh your homepage to see the videos again. But, be careful not to delete your account &#8211; you won&#8217;t have to do it again.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Uninstall\"><\/span>Uninstall<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>So, you&#8217;ve noticed the change: YouTube is replacing the explore tab with a new feature called &#8220;Shorts&#8221;. But how do you disable short videos? To stop your device from being recommended shorts, you can either turn off the new feature by uninstalling the update from your phone, or disable the automatic update process by going to Google Playstore. This will restore the trending tab to the home screen. And if you&#8217;re using a pre-installed YouTube app, you can simply uninstall the update, which will restore the trending tab.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve removed your Shorts, you can go back to watching your videos in the normal way. If you prefer to use the YouTube browser, simply launch the app and switch to it. Shorts will not load when you view videos in the desktop view. To get rid of them completely, you can mark all the videos in the Shorts tab with the &#8220;Not interested&#8221; status. Then, simply refresh your homepage, and you&#8217;ll no longer see any of the videos you blocked.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Mark_videos_as_Not_interested\"><\/span>Mark videos as &#8220;Not interested&#8221;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When you have watched a video, but no longer want to watch it, you can mark it as &#8220;Not interested&#8221; in YouTube. This feedback will then be hidden from your YouTube recommendations, and you will never see it again. To remove feedback, click &#8220;Delete.&#8221; Alternatively, you can clear your entire history of uninteresting posts, including the ones you&#8217;ve marked as &#8220;Not interested.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>You can mark videos as &#8220;Not interested&#8221; on YouTube in several ways. First, you must launch the YouTube app on your mobile device. On iOS devices, the icon is located at the far left of the navigation bar. On iOS devices, it is represented by three dots stacked vertically. Once you click on the icon, you&#8217;ll be able to see the list of options that you can choose from. Choose &#8220;Not interested&#8221; and YouTube will remove the video from your homepage.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Permanently_disable\"><\/span>Permanently disable<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you want to permanently disable shorts on YouTube, you can uninstall the app or change its settings. If you are able to change the settings, you can uninstall all Shorts videos from your home page. To do so, open the YouTube app and click the three dots icon at the top right corner. Then, select the option to &#8220;Uninstall new updates and settings&#8221; from the menu. If you don&#8217;t want to have Shorts videos appear on your homepage, you can go back to the previous version of the YouTube app. You can also mark videos as &#8220;Not interested&#8221; and then refresh your homepage.<\/p>\n<p>Changing the settings of your YouTube account to disable Shorts is a simple process. You can access this feature from the home page of the app, or you can go to the Settings tab and select the Shorts option. Once you&#8217;ve made that selection, you can turn off Shorts entirely. Shorts will no longer appear on your home page. This process is applicable for users on both iOS and Android devices. There are a few ways to permanently disable Shorts on YouTube.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Turn_off\"><\/span>Turn off<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You might be wondering how to disable shorts on YouTube. YouTube has recently launched this feature that lets you upload 15-second videos. It&#8217;s similar to the social networking websites TikTok and Instagram Reels.
