The first way involves visiting the Google Play Store or the Play Market and tapping the YouTube app icon. Next, you need to sign in to your account by entering your email address and password. Once you have done so, click on the profile icon in the top-right corner of the app to open your account settings. You will find the Restricted Mode settings in the General menu. If you see the restricted mode icon highlighted in blue, then it&#8217;s turned off.<\/p>\n<p>If you have disabled Restricted Mode on your iOS device, you need to re-enable it. Fortunately, you can easily enable it by following these steps:<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Safe_Search_filter\"><\/span>Safe Search filter<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking to protect your children from inappropriate content on YouTube, you can easily use a safe search filter. YouTube offers several ways to filter out content, including blocking results from sites with profanity or alcohol. These filters also block content from extreme political views and racism. YouTube has a SafeSearch filter for Android devices. To enable this feature, simply open the YouTube App and tap the menu button. Then, tap SafeSearch filtering from the list of options.<\/p>\n<p>When you enable SafeSearch, you&#8217;ll see a new page at the top of the page with suggestions that are not allowed. Click the &#8220;Safe Search&#8221; button in the top right corner. Then, select the option you wish to enable. This option will be enabled on your browser for the duration of your session. You can also turn off the SafeSearch feature whenever you want to. However, you should remember that it won&#8217;t have any effect on other users.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Location_settings\"><\/span>Location settings<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>YouTube&#8217;s location settings can be manipulated using your account&#8217;s IP address, which investigators can use to track you down. However, if you&#8217;re using a public computer, it&#8217;s more difficult to track you down, and you can change your location settings to prevent this. Alternatively, you can disable the YouTube app or change your location settings on the site itself. In the latter case, you may encounter some minor difficulties in changing your location, but these issues can easily be solved by clearing the cache and history.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve done this, you&#8217;re ready to change your location settings. To do so, open the YouTube app and login to your account. Click on your profile picture in the upper right corner of the screen. From the Profile page, select Settings. Next, click on General. On the General page, click on Location. The country you choose here will be displayed on your profile page. By default, YouTube will display videos from your country unless you change your location.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"App_Store\"><\/span>App Store<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In 2012, Apple discontinued the native YouTube app for iOS devices. It was fairly easy to block YouTube on previous iOS versions. In addition, a child with a password will need parental permission to download new apps. But there is an easy way around this: download Google&#8217;s official YouTube app from the App Store and set the restrictions on that. Otherwise, YouTube will still be available on the device, but it will no longer be accessible by the child.<\/p>\n<p>The age limit for YouTube on the App Store is now 17 years old, up from 13 years old. This means that the content on YouTube is no longer appropriate for children younger than 17. In addition, Facebook and Instagram both have age limits of four or older. However, the restrictions on YouTube have the opposite effect. The restrictions only apply to apps, not websites. And if they&#8217;re set to 17 years old, it&#8217;s only a matter of time until they&#8217;re changed.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Google_account\"><\/span>Google account<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To enable YouTube restriction using your Google account, follow these steps: Sign in to your Google account and choose &#8220;Applications&#8221; &gt; Settings. On the left side, you will see a &#8220;Restricted mode&#8221; option. To disable this option, simply select &#8220;Disable&#8221; and follow the steps above again. Once you have finished the steps, you can disable the Restricted Mode. Remember that these steps do not apply account-wide, so you will need to repeat them on every device you have access to.<\/p>\n<p>The YouTube restricted mode helps prevent users from accidentally viewing content that is considered inappropriate for their age. This works by using an automated algorithm to filter videos and content based on the user&#8217;s age. You can set the age restriction for the content on the device itself. If you do not want to use this feature, you can disable SafeSearch on all of your devices.
