YouTube is an American online video sharing website. It was founded on February 14, 2005 by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim. YouTube is owned by Google, making it the second most visited website after Google Search. In fact, YouTube was the first video site to provide a monetized platform for sharing videos. Here’s a brief history of the website. How did it become so popular?

Jawed Karim

In 2006, Jawed Karim delivered a lecture on the history of YouTube. Today, the site sits at the top of the social media charts, competing with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and Reddit. In college, he chose to major in computer science. In 2005, he became an informal adviser to the company. He became an advisor to YouTube when the website first launched.

The YouTube team also included two other co-founders, Chad Hurley and Steven Chen, who met through their work at PayPal. Soon after, the three men came up with the idea of YouTube and Jawed Karim was the first to upload a video to the site. On 23 April 2005, he uploaded the first video on YouTube. Soon after, he enrolled in graduate school at Stanford University and acted as an informal adviser to the company. Although he took a smaller share in YouTube than Chen and Hurley, he was still a part of the company for several years and remained a mostly unknown co-founder.

The story of Jawed Karim is an excellent example of how to find your niche and use it to your advantage. YouTube was not commonly used in the early 2000s, but the idea of creating a video-sharing platform was a unique and innovative concept. The company’s success largely hinged on its ability to identify a niche and provide content that people want. Its founders were so confident in the power of video-sharing that they eventually acquired NBC and Google to further their plans.

Steve Chen

In 2005, Steve Chen, a computer programmer from Chicago, co-founded YouTube and served as its chief technology officer. He helped the company to grow quickly and, by 2006, it was receiving 100 million video views daily. The website was ranked 10th among the most popular websites, and Chen sold it to Google for $1.65 billion in stock. Today, YouTube is one of the largest providers of online video. It has more than 100 million users, and is a vital part of the Internet experience.

Initially, Chen was an employee of PayPal. While working at PayPal, he learned the ins and outs of tech startups in Silicon Valley. At PayPal, he met Jawed Karim and Chad Hurley, two other YouTube co-founders. They then went on to form MixBit, a video editing company, which they named after themselves. In 2006, the company was sold to Google, and Chen was granted several million shares. He remained at the company until 2009.

Hurley Klein

It’s no secret that Hurley Klein is a savvy businessperson. In 2006, he sold YouTube to Google Inc. for $1.65 billion in stock. But his entrepreneurial talents don’t end there. The founder and CEO of Hlaska has two other projects in the works, including a vertically integrated fashion brand, Hlaska. He also has an undisclosed Internet collaboration with YouTube partner Steve Chen.

The Hurley Foundation was established to benefit children, and the hospital is in need of new furniture and equipment. The Hurley Foundation was founded by Dr. David Klein, a pediatrician who specializes in special needs children. Several Hurley fans have already contributed to the cause. And Hurley is working on his next project: a t-shirt company. If you are interested in helping Hurley Klein in his efforts to spread the word about YouTube, please consider donating.

Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs was an American computer entrepreneur and media owner. He co-founded Apple Computer Company and oversaw its development of the iPhone, iPod, and iPad. Jobs was born in San Francisco and later adopted by Paul Jobs, a fellow entrepreneur. After graduating from Reed College, he traveled to India and studied Zen Buddhism. He and Wozniak co-founded Apple in 1976. The pair had partnered on the development of a smaller personal computer. Jobs saw the potential for marketing with the hypothetical device and was soon able to start Apple Computer Company.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Jobs joined Reed College in Portland, Oregon. Reed was an expensive school, so Jobs befriended the student body president Robert Friedland. Brennan stayed in touch with Jobs at Reed and he asked Brennan to move in with him near the school’s campus. In 2008, Apple’s iTunes and iPod were the number two music retailers in the United States. The company’s success was due to the fact that Steve Jobs was a frequent visitor to the university.

Who Invented YouTube?
