Long-pressing a message and selecting &#8220;Delete&#8221; will delete it from both sides. This only works if you&#8217;re deleting the message for yourself. However, if you&#8217;ve accidentally moved the message, swipe to the left and select &#8220;Delete&#8221; to send it elsewhere.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Unsend_all_instagram_messages\"><\/span>Unsend all instagram messages<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t want to see the messages you sent on Instagram, you can unsend them. This option is only available if you are sending or receiving messages. It will not delete the messages that you have already sent. You can also choose to report the conversation after fourteen days. This will not completely remove the messages from the Instagram database. The person you&#8217;re trying to unfollow will not be able to see the unsent messages either.<\/p>\n<p>To unsend all messages on Instagram, open the app and go to the profile. Then, click settings and then select &#8220;Delete Account.&#8221; If you&#8217;d rather not send messages to someone, you can simply click the &#8220;Unread&#8221; menu and choose not to read it. The person you&#8217;re trying to untag won&#8217;t be able to see the messages you sent. However, if you&#8217;d like to see the messages that you sent, you can click on the menu and select &#8220;Unsend all.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Delete_instagram_DMs\"><\/span>Delete instagram DMs<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You&#8217;ve received a message on Instagram but don&#8217;t want to read it? Instagram offers a way to delete conversations from both sides. To delete a conversation, simply open the conversation in Instagram, tap the three dots in the top right corner, then tap &#8220;Delete Conversation&#8221; or &#8220;Delete All Conversations.&#8221; You can also delete a message by going into settings and deleting it from there.<\/p>\n<p>The message you sent will show up in the notification box, but you can unsend it at any time. It will be removed from the person&#8217;s inbox, so they won&#8217;t even know you sent it. If you do this quickly enough, though, you can delete Instagram DMs from both sides in a matter of seconds. Once you&#8217;ve unsubscribed, the conversation will be completely gone, removing the need to continue with it later.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Delete_instagram_chats\"><\/span>Delete instagram chats<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>How to Delete Instagram chats from both sides? There are a couple of ways to do this, but we&#8217;ll focus on the first one. First, open the Instagram app and select the person whose message you want to delete. Tap and hold the conversation bubble for three seconds. Next, tap the &#8220;Unsend&#8221; button at the bottom of the screen. The message will then be permanently deleted.<\/p>\n<p>If the person who sent you the message has not unsubscribed, you can always try to delete the message from both sides. You can either unsend it or block the person. If you want to permanently delete a message, you&#8217;ll need to follow the steps in the other side&#8217;s instructions. If you can&#8217;t find the person&#8217;s email address, you can use your password to access the deleted messages.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Delete_instagram_direct_messages\"><\/span>Delete instagram direct messages<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are ways to delete Instagram direct messages from both sides. One way is to block the other person&#8217;s account, which means the messages will not be seen by your followers. Another method is to unsend the message and delete the entire conversation. While you cannot delete the other user&#8217;s messages, you can erase them yourself. Just make sure you know the other person&#8217;s username. That way, you can be sure that they are not online at the time you decide to delete the messages.<\/p>\n<p>If you have accidentally deleted the other person&#8217;s direct message, there is a way to delete it without the other person seeing it. If you want to delete a conversation, open the conversation on both sides of the app and hold down the message for three seconds. Once you&#8217;re done, tap on &#8220;Unsend&#8221; to delete the message.
