Here are some tips to get you started.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Using_Instagram_Lives\"><\/span>Using Instagram Lives<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to keep yourself private on Instagram, you can turn off the &#8220;Show activity status&#8221; option for all of your followers. However, it&#8217;s not all bad news. If you want to keep your friends and followers updated, the activity status will allow you to send them memes at just the right time. Instagram also allows you to hide your Last Seen status for selected people, if you&#8217;d like.<\/p>\n<p>To hide the Last Seen status on Instagram, you can go to the settings tab. From there, tap the cogwheel button and then select Settings. Scroll down to the Activity Status section and turn off the switch. After that, you can start hiding your Last Seen status. In Instagram Lives, you can hide this option as well. You can even hide your account&#8217;s location so that your followers can&#8217;t see when you&#8217;re not online.<\/p>\n<p>Using this option is similar to turning off commenting and chats on your Instagram Stories. Just like in Stories, you can choose which viewers can view your Live broadcast. In the comment section, tap the three dots and then select &#8220;turn off commenting&#8221; if you don&#8217;t want anyone to post comments on your video. You can also turn off chats below your live video. You can use these settings to control who can view your stories and photos.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Turning_off_your_activity_status\"><\/span>Turning off your activity status<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can turn off your activity status on Instagram at any time. Simply go to your profile page in your preferred web browser and click on &#8220;Settings&#8221; or &#8220;Account Settings.&#8221; Next, tap the Activity Status option, and select the checkbox to hide it. This will stop other users from viewing your status and keep your account private. To turn on your activity status again, repeat the steps above. You may have to re-register your account before your changes will take effect.<\/p>\n<p>You can also turn off your activity status on Instagram to hide it from others. This feature shows the last time you were online and when you were offline. However, this information is only visible to people who follow you. This feature helps you keep your profile private by preventing other people from viewing your latest activity. However, this feature has its drawbacks, and you should never disable it without consulting your tech support. You may end up with a situation that is impossible to reverse. If you want to turn off your activity status, first turn off notifications for other users.
