It will be possible to quickly like someone&#8217;s story without sending a DM, which will save you time. Using this feature is also a great way to keep the user-base from growing too big to handle.<\/p>\n<p>While deleting posts and comments is not a good option for everyone, private Instagram story likes will help you avoid embarrassing DMs. Men who want to communicate with women through private messaging should avoid embarrassing slides into DMs. Instagram wants to prioritize conversations in the DM over public posts, so the new feature will help them to do this. By creating private Instagram story likes, you can stay out of the DMs, reducing the amount of awkwardness for both sides.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Setting_up_a_story\"><\/span>Setting up a story<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When you&#8217;re experimenting with Instagram Stories for advertising purposes, you need to know how to set them up so people will be more likely to see them. While most stories show a single image or video for just five seconds, users rarely look at these. In fact, Facebook&#8217;s research shows that the best-performing ads have an average scene length of 2.8 seconds. The key is to keep things moving and use quick cuts. The same applies to videos. You can use stickers to create a sense of motion with still images.<\/p>\n<p>To add text to your Story, hold down one finger on the right side of the text and choose the color you want it to be. Then choose whether to use a background color or foreground color. Your text will be visible to anyone who is following you, or to close friends who have approved your account. Keep in mind that your story will stay live for 24 hours before you can pause it and make it private.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Reacting_to_a_story\"><\/span>Reacting to a story<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Reacting to an Instagram story is now possible! In order to do so, all you have to do is swipe up from the bottom of your screen and tap the message bar. Choose from emojis, text, or a GIF to express your sentiments. The resulting DM will appear to the recipient of your story and you can continue the interaction afterwards. Remember that the DM will be visible for 24 hours!<\/p>\n<p>In the past, you had to message the story creator directly in the DM in order to react to their story. This ended up clogging up their inbox and opening more chats than they needed to. Instead, react to a story by double tapping its message and selecting a reaction. If you like a story but later realize that you messed up, you can simply undo the reaction. This will remove the heart icon from your DM and will remove the like from your reaction.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Adding_a_link_to_a_story\"><\/span>Adding a link to a story<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Adding a link to an Instagram story is one of the most popular ways to engage fans and gain traffic from the social media network. Instagram&#8217;s swipe up functionality allows users to view links directly in the story itself, enabling more tactical storytelling and increased clicks and conversions. But it is important to note that the swipe up feature will be discontinued in August 2021. To use this feature, you must have a verified business profile.<\/p>\n<p>Adding a link to an Instagram story is possible if you have a verified account with over 10,000 followers. To do this, you must publish your story and click &#8220;Publish Story.&#8221; Once you publish your story, it will appear with a Swipe Up link that includes a &#8220;See More&#8221; link.
