To do this, visit the Instagram account settings page. There, you&#8217;ll find an option to temporarily hide your account, which stores all your posts and photos in the cloud server. You&#8217;ll be prompted to enter your password in order to continue, and you&#8217;ll need to specify a reason for the disablement.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve disabled your account, you&#8217;ll need to log out and then reactivate it within a week. After that, you&#8217;ll need to log back in to reactivate it. Otherwise, your account will be deleted permanently. Disabling your Instagram account is only allowed once a week, but it&#8217;s worth it if you want to save some time.<\/p>\n<p>Once you disable your Instagram account, you&#8217;ll only lose one of your followers. After reactivating your account, you&#8217;ll have the same number of followers as before. You won&#8217;t be able to follow or unfollow accounts that you previously followed, and you won&#8217;t have access to DMs or searches. The feature suggests alternative activities. Hopefully, this will help reduce the time users spend on the app. However, there are no other details yet. The new feature is rolling out to select countries first. Once it goes live worldwide, it will be available for all users.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re feeling overwhelmed by the amount of content you&#8217;re reading, Instagram&#8217;s &#8220;Take a Break&#8221; feature might be just what you need. This new feature will prompt you to stop scrolling after a certain period of time. Once you&#8217;ve reached that threshold, you&#8217;ll receive a notification asking you to take a break. You can also set reminders to remind yourself to take a break. Instagram will make the new feature globally available early next year.<\/p>\n<p>The new feature is currently in the testing stage and will roll out to select users this week. Instagram plans to launch the feature for all users by December. It will be available in the U.S. and the UK in December. There are no other details on when the feature will become available for everyone. While Instagram does its best to remove information from your account in a timely manner, you need to consider that they may still have copies of your posts and other information. This is for several reasons, including possible legal issues, violations of their terms of service, and harm prevention efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, there are a few ways to delete your Instagram account permanently. First, open the Instagram app on your mobile device. Next, choose &#8220;Settings&#8221; and then &#8220;Help&#8221;. From here, you&#8217;ll need to select a reason for the account deletion. Once you&#8217;ve selected a reason for the account deletion, you can then select &#8220;Permanently delete my Instagram account.&#8221; Depending on the time of day you make this request, it can take up to 90 days for your account to be removed.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve entered your password, Instagram will confirm that you&#8217;ve requested the deletion. Instagram will notify you within 30 days of processing your request, but you can still access your account after 30 days. Then, after 90 days, all of the data associated with your account will be removed from Instagram. You can then choose a new account.
