Highlights are also a great way to promote products or services. You can post a detailed description of the service or product and then have the highlight appear above other stories.<\/p>\n<p>Creating an interesting highlight is important to build a consistent brand and to engage your audience. Highlights are easy to navigate and can include up to 100 stories. However, if you have a high-volume of content, your viewers will find it frustrating to scroll through. It is therefore best to create multiple highlights with fewer stories. You cannot skip this step. You then upload your Story as normal and select the option to add it to your Highlights section. Once you&#8217;ve selected your followers, you can select the option to add your Story to your Highlights section and see the stories of your followers. However, make sure to delete any old Stories that you don&#8217;t want to include in your Highlights section.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve completed this, you can upload your story to your highlights. Before you do so, make sure to block any users that you want to hide from your Highlights. This will make it appear as an inactive story on your profile. After 24 hours, you can unlock it and add it to your Highlights. This will make it easier for other users to view your story. In fact, you can even make your own covers &#8211; all you have to do is upload your own photos! To create an Instagram highlight cover, follow these steps.<\/p>\n<p>Changing the cover photo on your Highlights page is easy. Simply open the section, select your highlights, and then select the cover photo that matches your brand image. Alternatively, if you&#8217;re not comfortable uploading your own images, you can always use a picture from your camera roll. But be sure to change it back to the original before deleting it! You can also use a different image if you want to create an Instagram highlight story that is private.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Hide_your_story_from_the_homescreen\"><\/span>Hide your story from the homescreen<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When you want to hide your story from your homescreen on Instagram, you can do so by going to the privacy settings and tapping on the list of people who have already seen it. You can then select these people and unhide them. If you have many followers, you can even hide your story from a subset of them. Alternatively, you can unhide your story from people you&#8217;d like to follow.<\/p>\n<p>In order to hide your story from the homescreen on Instagram, you need to go to your profile and tap on &#8220;settings.&#8221; In the next window, tap on the &#8220;Hide Story From&#8221; option. Then select the people you want to hide and then tap on &#8220;Done.&#8221; This will make your story hidden for only specific people.
