Once you have done this, you should be able to see messages in the DM tab. Lastly, you need to clear your cache and cookies.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"DM_tab\"><\/span>DM tab<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve ever wondered how to mark a message as &#8220;unread&#8221; on Instagram, you&#8217;re not alone. The feature is available only on the official app and for business accounts. Many Instagram users, however, don&#8217;t have these options. This guide will explain how to unread a message on Instagram. First, navigate to the &#8220;DM&#8221; section of your account. Next, select the conversation you&#8217;d like to unread. Once you&#8217;ve selected the conversation, tap on the hamburger icon.<\/p>\n<p>In the DM tab of the official Instagram app, you&#8217;ll find two tabs. The first is the primary tab. Using this, you can sort your DMs by priority. Priority messages are those that need to be read as soon as possible. Non-priority messages can be checked whenever you have time. You can also set the DM tab to be your primary message tab.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Professional_account_required\"><\/span>Professional account required<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Unread messages on Instagram are a great way to save conversations and keep them for later. Unfortunately, this feature is not available for personal accounts. However, there are a couple of easy ways to enable this feature for your Instagram profile. First, you must have a professional account. To do this, you must connect your Instagram account to your business email. Afterward, you must verify your email address.<\/p>\n<p>You can switch from a personal account to a professional account if you&#8217;re a business or creator. First, login to Instagram and select the profile picture icon located at the lower right corner of your mobile screen. This will bring up your profile page. From there, select the three horizontal lines icon, which will open a pop-out menu similar to the dropdown menu in the desktop version of the app. After you&#8217;ve selected this option, select the Account tab and click on the Switch to Professional account option. Once you&#8217;ve done so, the unread message icon will appear in bold text, with a blue dot at the right side corner.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Clearing_cache\"><\/span>Clearing cache<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you have recently updated your phone and still seeing red dots on your Instagram profile, you may want to clear the cache. Instagram stores data in caches so that the app can load faster. This is a simple way to resolve the problem and keep your account from being cluttered with messages you&#8217;ve already read. To clear your cache, navigate to Settings and tap on Force Close\/Stop. Next, log in using the credentials that you use to log into your phone.<\/p>\n<p>After logging in, you will see an option to clear your cache. This will clear any phantom notifications, but you must be logged out of Instagram to complete this process. After doing so, re-install your phone to keep your account updated. This method may not work for everyone. You should test it first and only implement it if it works for you. If you are still experiencing problems after clearing the cache, you can also try the solutions provided by Instagram users.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Using_AiGrow\"><\/span>Using AiGrow<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>AiGrow is an email-based service for Instagram that allows you to read and reply to DMs without logging into the app. This feature is particularly useful if you want to stay connected to other users, but also wants to avoid the hassle of syncing two separate accounts. In that case, AiGrow is the perfect tool for you. It allows you to read and reply to DMs sent from Instagram and also lets you easily send DMs from your PC.<\/p>\n<p>Instagram has limits on the number of unread messages you can receive per day, so it&#8217;s important to use a third-party application to keep up with your notifications. AiGrow works by connecting your Instagram account with your email account. After completing the installation, you can connect the account to AiGrow and begin reading and replying to unread messages on Instagram. Once connected, you can even send DMs from your PC to your Instagram account!<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Making_messages_unread_without_being_seen\"><\/span>Making messages unread without being seen<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>It&#8217;s possible to make messages unread on Instagram without being seen. In order to do this, all you have to do is open the profile page and tap the three vertical dots. Then, tap the option marked &#8220;Restrict.&#8221; This will turn all incoming messages into message requests. When you have a lot of incoming messages, it might be easier to mark them as unread than read, and Instagram will show you that you have received them, but they will still appear in your inbox.<\/p>\n<p>Another method for making messages unread on Instagram without being seen is to flag the conversations that you want to read later. To do this, simply open the DMs on your Instagram profile and tap a conversation. Next, hold the conversation for a few seconds until a list appears. You&#8217;ll then see the conversations that you flagged.
