You can now share your Story in direct messages with a group of friends or select specific people. Stories in direct messages can only be seen by people who are in the recipients&#8217; Direct messages, but you can adjust these settings so that other users will be able to see your story. You can even adjust the privacy settings of your Story, so that you don&#8217;t have to worry about violating the terms of service.<\/p>\n<p>To re-share a story, you first need to know that you have to be following the person you&#8217;d like to share it with. If you follow this person, you&#8217;ll get a notification when they post their story. Tap on this notification and you&#8217;ll be taken to their direct messages. You can also add stickers or GIFs to your story. If you want to remove the Story, you should report it to Instagram. If you want to edit your Story, you can add GIFs and stickers and change the text.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Using_reshare_feature\"><\/span>Using reshare feature<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In an effort to make sharing content to Instagram stories easier, the social network is testing the &#8220;reshare&#8221; sticker. The new sticker is displayed under the &#8220;recently viewed&#8221; tab on Stories, a list of recent posts. A reshared post will appear as a sticker on the chosen background. Users who share content can easily edit the post, adding more context. The feature is not available for every post, but for some, it may be essential for some users.<\/p>\n<p>While Instagram has made sharing content easier, users may not always be aware of the legal implications of resharing other people&#8217;s content. Copyright applies to the content posted by someone else. You must get permission from the original poster before resharing it. The share function on social media platforms skirts around this issue, but this is still a risk. Stories disappear after 24 hours and are not re-shareable. However, you can post a story as a profile highlight, which stays on your profile until you delete it manually. If you tag someone in a story, they&#8217;ll always be included in the tagged post. However, tagging people in Instagram stories is a challenge. Thankfully, there&#8217;s a simple way to overcome this issue.<\/p>\n<p>Using the @mention text tool to add a tag is just as easy as copying and pasting a link. The difference is in the aesthetics. You can edit your text, choose a font, change the color of the text, and rotate it. When you add a username, Instagram will suggest relevant friend accounts and auto-fill the names. You can even add stickers or GIFs to make it more aesthetically appealing.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sharing_a_story_with_a_users_profile\"><\/span>Sharing a story with a user&#8217;s profile<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can share an Instagram story link with other users externally. You can send it to a friend via email, text message, or social network. To do this, just copy the link and paste it somewhere. First, open the app where you wish to share the link. Then, press and hold the pointer on the display until a menu appears. Next, tap the Paste command to paste the link.<\/p>\n<p>The best way to share an Instagram story with another user is to tag the other person. Make sure that the person you&#8217;re tagging has a public account. A private account will not allow you to see what they post. However, if you&#8217;re tagging someone else, you can share their Story and add it to your own.
