You can also uninstall Instagram and restart it if you haven&#8217;t done so already.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Uninstalling_Instagram\"><\/span>Uninstalling Instagram<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Unless you&#8217;re a fan of Instagram&#8217;s algorithm, you&#8217;ve probably noticed that some of your recent posts are being overshadowed by others. To clear these suggestions, you can uninstall Instagram. This method removes the algorithm that enables Instagram to suggest accounts that you may be interested in following. Here&#8217;s how. Follow the accounts you want to follow again. Then, clear your search history.<\/p>\n<p>To clear Instagram&#8217;s cache and history, you can go into your iPhone&#8217;s settings and tap on &#8220;Apps&#8221; and then &#8220;Cache.&#8221; You can also go to the storage page and tap on &#8220;Clear data and cache&#8221; to remove any temporary data from the app. This will delete all the posts that are tagged with those hashtags or accounts you previously searched. Alternatively, you can also uninstall Instagram from your iPhone or PC.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have cleared your search history, Instagram will no longer suggest any of your accounts based on what you&#8217;ve searched for. It will also remove any recommended accounts from your search history, so you can use Instagram with confidence. Uninstalling Instagram won&#8217;t remove your searches, but it will get rid of any data it may have stored on your phone. And if you want to use the app again, you should remove the cache and data it has on your phone.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Resetting_search_suggestions\"><\/span>Resetting search suggestions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve noticed that your searches on Instagram aren&#8217;t relevant anymore, you&#8217;ll want to reset Instagram search suggestions to a more recent time. You can do this through the Instagram desktop app, or by visiting the official website. Then, navigate to the &#8216;Search History&#8217; option and click the &#8216;Delete&#8217; button. If you don&#8217;t want to delete your search history, you can always clear it again.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve cleared your history, Instagram will stop suggesting certain accounts to you based on the people you follow or the accounts you&#8217;ve interacted with. However, you can&#8217;t completely remove the search suggestions feature, as Instagram stores data and caches your search history. There are a few different methods to clear the search history, but the first one will prevent Instagram from suggesting certain accounts and hashtags to you. If you&#8217;ve removed these accounts, you can also clear your search history to see other accounts that are relevant to your interests.<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t want Instagram to suggest your posts, you can disable the search bar suggestions and clear your history by visiting the settings menu of your Instagram app. From there, click on &#8220;Recent Searches&#8221; and then on &#8220;Clear Recent Searches.&#8221; Alternatively, if you&#8217;re using Android, you can disable the search bar suggestions by tapping on the three dots located at the top right corner of the search box.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Removing_search_history\"><\/span>Removing search history<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you want to stop seeing search suggestions for Instagram, you can clear your phone&#8217;s cache data. If you&#8217;d like to clear your search history, you can go to your phone&#8217;s Settings application and select Applications and Permissions. From there, tap on Search History and then choose the search suggestion you&#8217;d like to clear. If you want to see which hashtags and accounts are showing up in your search suggestions, you can tap the icon and swipe left.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to remove Instagram search suggestions, you can do so by deleting your cache data and search history. If you&#8217;ve cleared your cache data, you can also choose to clear any suggested accounts. Just click on the account you want to remove. This way, you&#8217;ll never see their name again in the search suggestions section. You can also choose to delete any search suggestions that aren&#8217;t relevant to your feed.<\/p>\n<p>You can delete individual searches from Instagram, or block specific profiles. Then, you can unblock that user and follow them again. Alternatively, you can unblock the user and reinstall the Instagram application. However, you&#8217;ll need to delete your search history if you&#8217;ve already followed the user.
