So, in the end, both sides are likely to lose the battle. Musk complained that the company was riddled with spam accounts and said he was unable to get an inside look at the issue. Among other things, Musk has used the Twitter account to send a poop emoji. This has also led to a widespread decline in tech stocks.<\/p>\n<p>After all, Musk already has 80 million followers and is considered one of the most popular firebrands on Twitter. He has repeatedly expressed his displeasure with the company&#8217;s management, and has even questioned whether Twitter&#8217;s policies and practices undermine free speech. Then, he privately approaches Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, letting him know that his stake in Twitter was growing. In a subsequent conversation, Musk mentions taking Twitter private and starting a rival.<\/p>\n<p>Despite his apparent desire to buy Twitter, Tesla shares have dropped significantly since the news broke. As Musk has made clear, his bid for Twitter is more of an ideological decision than a business decision. If Twitter&#8217;s board rejects his offer, he has a back-up plan.
