It has flagged “intense” conversations in the replies to tweets about political campaigns, vaccine mandates, open-source algorithms, and Bad Art Friend stories. While it is true that any conversation has the potential to turn into a shit show, it is not clear how often it happens. Regardless, it is helpful to know how to avoid a conversation going bad.

Instagram’s Threads app

If you use Twitter Blue, you might have noticed that the app unrolls threads from your previous tweets. While these can be quite lengthy, they are a great way to make the most of your 280 character limit. When used wisely, these threads can become extremely popular. Followers will often read back and forth, giving off all sorts of different vibes.

As the Twitter community continues to grow, many users have asked for a feature similar to Facebook’s status option, allowing users to set a “vibe” on their profile and tweets. The Vibe feature could be applied to each tweet or to a user’s entire account. Wong has an impressive track record of spoiling upcoming apps, and this latest screenshot reveals that Twitter is working on a new feature. Users will be able to set a status update to attach to their tweets.

Facebook’s retweets

Facebook’s retweet on Twitter lets users see other people’s tweets by searching the person’s Facebook page. But now that Facebook is taking steps to lock down its API platform and protect users, this feature may soon become unusable. You can see what happens when you follow someone on Twitter and retweet their tweets if you want to know if they liked your post.

The new “Share” feature on Facebook is similar to the one found in Twitter. Rather than requiring users to comment, retweets on Facebook work like a Twitter retweet. Just tap the arrow symbol in the share dialog and then tap “Reshare” to share the post. The same process is used in Facebook Messenger. Once someone retweets a message, it appears on the person’s wall.

A survey by the Center for American Progress found that a majority of Americans identify as political independents or Democrats. While the majority of people use both platforms to engage in political discussions, more Democrats engaged in Twitter’s retweets than Republicans. Nonetheless, the median Democratic lawmaker is more active on Twitter, received higher engagement, and received more favorite tweets from her followers than a typical Republican.

Twitter’s new ‘vibe’ feature

A Twitter researcher has spotted the possibility of a new status feature called Vibe. The feature is said to let users create a custom status by clicking a dropdown menu above the tweet composer. The list of pre-set “vibes” includes eating ramen, studying for a final exam, driving on the highway, shopping for groceries, and lurking on Twitter. There are some concerns with Vibe, however.

Vibe Check is a new feature that is being developed by Twitter. While the company is not clear if this feature will be available to all users, Twitter Blue subscribers will be able to use it. A screenshot of the feature was posted by Twitter user Jane Manchun Wong. It’s not clear when Twitter will roll out the feature, but it looks promising. However, there’s one major concern: how users can access the feature.

Vibe is not an entirely new feature, but it does seem similar to the ‘Feeling/Activity’ status picker on Facebook. It would allow users to set a status update on their profile, attach it to a tweet, and share it with their friends. This new feature might help Twitter improve the way users communicate with each other, especially for those who frequently post to the same platform.

What Vibes Do I Give Off on Twitter?
