There are still a few ways to recover your account. First, you need to have your user name and a valid email address. These will be needed to complete the two-factor authentication process. Once you have the recovery codes, copy them to your clipboard or screenshot them for safe keeping. If you&#8217;re not sure what the recovery code is, follow the directions below.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have the recovery code, you can enter it in the appropriate form to regain access to your account. Once you&#8217;ve entered the code, click &#8220;Continue&#8221;. If you don&#8217;t have a recovery code, you can also use your Facebook account or another email account to log in. After entering the recovery code, you can now view your settings. This process may take a few minutes, but it&#8217;s worth it for the added security.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve got your username and email address, you can follow the instructions to recover your account. If you&#8217;ve had an account disabled due to aggressive activities, copyright issues, or buying followers and likes, there are two ways to get access to your account. In each case, you&#8217;ll have to follow the directions Instagram gives you. You should also turn on two-factor authentication if your account is still disabled.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Recovering_an_Instagram_account_without_a_phone_number\"><\/span>Recovering an Instagram account without a phone number<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve forgotten the phone number associated with your Instagram account, don&#8217;t panic &#8211; there are ways to recover your account without your phone number. For instance, you can request for a password reset via SMS by entering your phone number and tapping &#8220;send&#8221; to receive a message that will let you reset your password. However, this method can be dangerous if you&#8217;re not entirely sure you can trust a random person with your phone number. In such a case, you may have to resort to other methods.<\/p>\n<p>First, you need to submit a help request form. You&#8217;ll be sent a code via SMS or email. You&#8217;ll need to reply to the form correctly and provide all the information requested. If you&#8217;re not able to send a phone number, you can also submit an email request. Once you&#8217;ve sent your email, Instagram will respond within 48 hours. Alternatively, you can visit the website of the Instagram support center and fill out a simple form to recover your account.<\/p>\n<p>Secondly, you can submit a photo of your handwritten security code, and the service will respond within 24 to 48 hours. Once they&#8217;ve received it, you&#8217;ll receive an email with instructions to recover your account. After you&#8217;ve followed the steps above, you&#8217;ll receive a link to reset your password. This link will give you all the details you need to reset your account. You can then use the code to access your Instagram account again.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Getting_a_recovery_code_from_Google_Authenticator\"><\/span>Getting a recovery code from Google Authenticator<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There&#8217;s a way to retrieve your backup codes from Google Authenticator. First, log into your Google account. Once you&#8217;re logged in, you&#8217;ll see a line with Backup codes. Delete this line and then save the encrypted file. If you&#8217;ve lost your authentication device, or lost the device you use to generate the backup codes, you can retrieve them by following these instructions.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, if you&#8217;ve forgotten your Google Authenticator code, you can scan the QR code on your computer. If the QR code is not present, search for the app and then click it. If you can&#8217;t find it, try logging in through a non-automatic browser, such as Mozilla Firefox. Next, click the More options icon near the text field with the Google Authenticator code. From there, click &#8220;Enter one of your 8-digit backup code&#8221; located near the bottom of the menu.<\/p>\n<p>After you&#8217;ve backed up your Google Authenticator backup codes, you can restore your account. The process is easy. To do it, you need to first sign in to your Google Authenticator account. If you&#8217;re using an Android phone, simply go to the app&#8217;s menu and tap &#8220;Backup codes.&#8221; Next, select the backup code from your Google Authenticator account.
