It&#8217;s actually a very useful feature that was removed from the iOS version of the app. While iOS users have not complained about the feature being removed, Android users have. Hopefully, the latest beta update will fix this problem.<\/p>\n<p>To reply to a message, simply swipe to the right of the message. It will open a reply box, where you can type a reply. Just like when you&#8217;re replying to a text message, the recipient will receive your message as an SMS. This makes it very convenient for both of you. If you&#8217;d like to send a message to a specific user, you can do so via Instagram on desktop as well.<\/p>\n<p>Besides being able to reply to messages directly, you can also quote specific messages in Instagram DMs. By doing this, you can make long conversations much more meaningful, particularly when you can quote specific replies to individual messages. Swipe to Answer to Messages on Instagram is similar to the messaging feature on Messenger. The feature allows you to reply to specific messages in individual conversations or in group chats.<\/p>\n<p>The Swipe to Answer to Messages on Instagram is similar to the Messenger-Swipe to Reply feature on other popular messaging apps. The key is to make sure you enable automatic updates from Instagram to avoid privacy concerns. If you don&#8217;t, Instagram may not be able to comply with European data privacy laws. But the new feature will make the experience much easier, and you may even find it useful in group discussions.<\/p>\n<p>In order to use the Swipe to Answer to Messages on Instagram, you must have the latest direct message update installed on your device. After you install the update, open the DM messages in the Instagram app. Once you&#8217;ve done that, tap on the Reply option and type your reply.
