There&#8217;s a new feature available to Instagram users called &#8220;Swipe to Reply to Messages&#8221; that&#8217;ll make the entire process of responding to specific messages on Instagram much easier.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Swipe_to_Reply_to_Messages_feature\"><\/span>&#8216;Swipe to Reply to Messages&#8217; feature<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&#8216;Swipe to Reply&#8217; is a feature that allows users to reply directly to specific messages in Instagram. This feature is already available in other messaging apps, and is particularly useful when participants in a conversation are using different devices and have different time zones. Instagram users can reply to individual messages simply by holding the screen over the sender&#8217;s message, which will be displayed above the text input field.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, there is a workaround for this bug. First, you can connect your Instagram account to Facebook. After doing so, you can view the conversation with your contacts. Then, click on the Messenger icon on top right of the screen to respond. Once you&#8217;re inside, you can use &#8216;Swipe to Reply to Messages&#8217; to reply to a message.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, you can also tap the &#8216;Reply&#8217; icon on a message and type a reply. Once you&#8217;re finished, tap the &#8220;Send&#8221; button to send your message. Then, select the emoji you want to respond with and tap &#8220;Reply.&#8221; The message will then be quoted and sent to the other person. While this may seem a little confusing at first, the new system makes replying easier than ever before.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Automated_Responses_feature\"><\/span>Automated Responses feature<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you are in the market for a new way to respond to your customers, you should consider using the Automated Responses feature on Instagram &#8211; especially if you have a business account. This feature has three distinct methods that can be useful for your business. The first method is a simple keyword trigger that picks up the content of the DM and sends an appropriate automated response. The second method is called a custom flow. You can set up your response to be personalized based on the content of the DM.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve created your FAQ, you can edit it at any time and it will show up every time someone messages you through Instagram Direct. To do this, head over to the Instagram home page and click on the Messenger icon. Next, click on the button that says &#8220;Set Up Automated Responses.&#8221; On the following page, click &#8220;Add a Question.&#8221; Type in the question you want to answer, and choose an optional automated response. You can add as many questions as you want, if you want.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses can use the Automated Responses feature on Instagram if there are frequently asked questions. Frequently asked questions can include pricing, stock availability, delivery terms, and more. Automated responses can also help elevate conversations that are not automated. A study conducted by Mindvalley revealed that 10% of support messages needed to be escalated. With this method, it can use an Instagram and Messenger tracking system to find unresolved DMs, prompting users with common questions and offering a time frame to respond.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Swipe_to_Reply_to_Group_Messages_feature\"><\/span>&#8216;Swipe to Reply to Group Messages&#8217; feature<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you have an Instagram DM account, you might have a hard time replying to specific messages in group chats. To reply to a specific message in group chat, you must swipe right or left on the message to select the &#8220;Reply&#8221; icon. After selecting the reply icon, you can enter the message and hit the &#8220;Send&#8221; button to send your response. The reply will link to the original message.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;d rather not reply to the entire message, you can always long-press the message. This will reveal a preview of the message that you are replying to. This works especially well if you are replying to one or two group messages. However, it&#8217;s important to enable automatic updates if you&#8217;d like to use this feature.
