It&#8217;s simple to change the default icons and reaction in the Instagram app.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Emoji_reactions_are_a_fun_way_to_react_to_a_message_on_Instagram\"><\/span>Emoji reactions are a fun way to react to a message on Instagram<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To enable emoji reactions on your Instagram account, you need to update your mobile app. You can do this by tapping the three-bar icon on the top-right corner of the screen. Then, tap Settings, and then update messaging. Now, you can choose which emoji to use to react to a message. Once you have set your preferred emoji, you can send the emoji to a friend or other user.<\/p>\n<p>After updating the app, you need to make sure that you enable emoji reactions for your Instagram account. This can be done through the Settings menu, where you can tap &#8220;Update Messaging.&#8221; To use this feature, you must be logged in to Facebook or sign up for a free Instagram account. It came with an update last year, so it&#8217;s a good idea to update your app if you haven&#8217;t done so in a while. In the conversation menu, long-press any message to select it. Then, you can choose your favorite emoji and add it to the quick reply menu.<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t like the default emojis, you can change them by double-tapping your message. Double-tapping a message will add a heart reaction. To change the heart emoji, touch the message and open the emoji panel. Now, select your new emoji from the list. In September 2020, Instagram introduced the ability to react to messages. Previously, you could only double-tap a message to like it. Since then, you can react to any message with any emoji you wish. You can change your reaction as many times as you want and un-react as often as necessary.<\/p>\n<p>The default reaction is the heart icon. However, if you&#8217;d like to change the emoji, you can double-tap the message to show the emoji panel. To change the default reaction, tap the heart emoji and then choose a different one.
