He became interested in computers and began to program while he was still in high school. He was fascinated by the challenges that fleets faced and began to write his own software at the age of fifteen. His code remained in use for decades by taxicab companies. He also founded Square, a company that allows people to accept credit card payments through their cell phones.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2017, the US Capitol insurrection forced the company to permanently ban a sitting president from Twitter, and in October, Twitter&#8217;s board voted to remove Mr. Trump&#8217;s account. This is just one example of how Twitter is struggling to enforce complicated rules and policies for world leaders. In November 2017, Dorsey resigned as Twitter&#8217;s CEO but stayed on the board until the 2022 presidential election.
