This means you&#8217;ll see the warning that it might contain &#8220;sensitive content&#8221; instead of the post&#8217;s contents. But this only works if you&#8217;re using the online version of the Twitter application. If you&#8217;ve been blocked from sending or viewing such content because of the content that you&#8217;ve posted, you can still turn the setting off for future tweets.<\/p>\n<p>To disable this warning, go to your profile settings, and click on the Safety tab. You&#8217;ll see a message that says &#8220;Some tweets contain content that might be offensive or controversial.&#8221; If you want to remove the message, click on the sensitivity setting and click Save. You can also turn off the sensitivity warning on any other tweets you create. However, if you mark your own tweet as potentially offensive, the content will never be seen by other users, unless you&#8217;ve explicitly marked it as such.<\/p>\n<p>A report by Mashable pointed out that the feature works similarly to other sensitive content on Twitter. When a user attempts to view a tweet from Justin Warren, he gets a pop-up warning message, and needs to click &#8220;OK&#8221; to proceed. However, the reporter couldn&#8217;t determine why the tweet had been flagged, because it appears to be harmless and unrelated to his or her personal life.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Twitter_takes_stronger_action_if_you_disable_sensitive_content_warnings\"><\/span>Twitter takes stronger action if you disable sensitive content warnings<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Twitter policy aims to protect its users by blocking potentially sensitive content. But what happens when you find that you&#8217;re using the site for political or religious purposes? Disabling the sensitive content warnings can help you prevent this. These warnings are based on tweet content, so you can also report a Tweet if it offends you. Twitter will mark it as potentially sensitive and will send you an email. You can turn it off again, but images will still be marked as potentially sensitive.<\/p>\n<p>To enable the warnings, go to Settings and look for the Privacy and Safety section. Scroll down and select &#8220;tweet media.&#8221; Here, you can select the option &#8220;Mark media you tweet as sensitive content.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"You_can_turn_off_sensitivity_on_your_own_tweets\"><\/span>You can turn off sensitivity on your own tweets<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can choose to limit what other users see in your Twitter feed by turning off sensitivity. To do this, go to settings and select privacy and content. Then, select the box next to display media that may contain sensitive content. If you want to hide content from others, click &#8220;hide this content.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>To turn off sensitivity for your own tweets, first sign into your Twitter account. Click the &#8220;account avatar&#8221; on the top right of the screen. Next, select &#8220;Settings and privacy&#8221; from the menu. If you still get this message, the Twitter app needs a refresh or an update. If it is still not working, you can try clearing your cache and checking your settings in the Help Center.<\/p>\n<p>Another option is to select &#8220;sensitive content&#8221; and deactivate it. This setting allows you to control whether other people can see your tweets containing sensitive content. To deactivate the sensitive content setting, tap the profile icon. Some devices require you to tap on the &#8220;more&#8221; icon in order to reach this option.
