Subscribers would also be given different user roles and have access to extra features, like brand surveys, auto responders, and badges. A subscription model could also help Twitter make more money from advertising. But how will Twitter pay for these new features?<\/p>\n<p>While many people are hesitant to pay for Twitter&#8217;s services, the social media company has been working to develop alternative revenue streams to support its free service. Subscriptions show the most promise and match the company&#8217;s use cases. While Twitter Blue may prove more difficult to sell elsewhere, it could help Twitter sustain its power user base.
