Before this update, Fleets could only be seen by people you follow. They did not show up in search, nor could they be embedded on external websites. Twitter explained that users could create Fleets from their profile or take existing tweets and post them to their profiles. Fleets can include text, photos, GIFs, and videos. They function like Instagram stories, and disappear after 24 hours. Twitter said that it would continue to add new stickers to Fleets as they grow.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear what the purpose of these Fleets is. Twitter should have banned accounts that spread disinformation and hate. Instead, it rolled out Fleets half-baked. Its moderation process has been opaque, and the actual usage terms aren&#8217;t available. But, users have tested this feature in the wild and found that it does not work as advertised. The new feature could be useful to people who want to promote their own content.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Users_can_add_text_photos_gifs_and_emojis\"><\/span>Users can add text, photos, gifs and emojis<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Twitter has just made it easier for users to create custom fleets, which include stickers, photos, gifs, and emojis. Users can also search for specific graphics using the search bar at the top of the page. Before the new feature was rolled out to all users, Fleets had limited editing capabilities. Previously, users could only add different coloured text and change the background. However, Twitter has recently improved its Fleets feature by allowing users to add animated stickers and emojis.<\/p>\n<p>Tweets now have the option to include text, GIFs, and Twemoji in their Fleets, making them even more fun to share with your followers. Twitter has released this feature for iOS users and has plans to roll it out to all users eventually. The new feature is also available on Android and iOS. However, users must wait a few days to see how it will work.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fleets_disappear_after_24_hours\"><\/span>Fleets disappear after 24 hours<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When Twitter added the Fleets feature to its timeline in November last year, it was hoped that it would compete with Instagram and Snapchat Stories. Twitter was hopeful that this new feature would attract more users to the platform, but it only attracted power users. In August 2021, Twitter killed off the feature and replaced it with Spaces, a similar function that lasts just 24 hours. However, there is a good news. Users can still view fleets that have been deleted.<\/p>\n<p>While fleets don&#8217;t have &#8220;likes&#8221; or retweets, users can still view people&#8217;s fleets by clicking on their avatar or browsing their feed. Although fleets can&#8217;t be retweeted, they can still be replied to and seen by others, which helps foster more engagement. However, Twitter is working to make fleets disappear after 24 hours in order to improve its reputation and build engagement.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Users_can_create_multiple_pages_of_tweets_in_a_single_Fleet_story\"><\/span>Users can create multiple pages of tweets in a single Fleet story<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Twitter has announced the global rollout of Fleets, a new feature that allows users to post ephemeral content similar to Instagram Stories. Fleets display content above the user feed to prevent it from being buried. Fleets are also limited to 24 hours, which can help create a sense of urgency and drive audience action. Fleets have many uses for social media and are similar to Facebook and Instagram Stories.<\/p>\n<p>Creating a Fleet is very similar to editing a story on Instagram, with tools to format text, add GIFs, and change background colors. Users can also reply privately to a fleet. When creating a Fleet, users can choose the colors for each page and choose whether they want to change the font. After creating a Fleet, users can choose a caption, add text, or both. Once published, Fleets can be shared and deleted.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Users_can_customise_their_Fleets\"><\/span>Users can customise their Fleets<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can use the editing tools to edit your Fleets just like you would with Stories on other social media platforms. You can add text, change the color of the text, and even change the background. Once you are done editing your Fleets, you can publish them in the upper right-hand corner of your Twitter feed. You can even choose to share them or mute them from your account. The editing tools allow you to change the size, alignment, and style of your Fleets.<\/p>\n<p>Like Instagram stories, you can share text, GIFs, and photos within your Fleet. These will disappear after 24 hours. If you have a personal conversation with someone, you can reply privately to their message. You can also choose to add &#8220;alt&#8221; text, which will be displayed as a separate caption to your post.
