Twitter uses your history to show you recommended content based on your interests. You can disable recommendations, turn off Highlights, unfollow people, or mute accounts, but first, you should know how to turn on and off Twitter’s recommendations. This article will teach you how.

Highlights

To completely turn off Twitter Highlights, you can go into Push Notifications and uncheck the box next to the feature. Highlights is an option included as part of your daily digest, so you can change the frequency with which you see them. By unchecking this box, you will stop receiving notifications for Tweets that contain relevant keywords, hashtags, and tags. It’s important to keep in mind that Highlights are part of your daily digest, so turning off notifications will help you free up space in your inbox.

However, if you don’t want to receive these notifications, you can also disable the algorithm altogether by setting the “mute” term on your Twitter account. This feature will prevent your algorithm from tweeting, replying to, or liking your posts. When you disable Twitter Highlights, you’ll still receive tweets from people you follow. This feature is also similar to the While You Were Away feature, which allows you to see interesting posts from your followers without having to follow each one.

Mute

If you want to keep your timeline uncluttered, you can mute Twitter recommendations. Simply click the @ sign next to the words you don’t want to see on your timeline. After muting a particular word, that word or phrase will not appear in your timeline, notifications or email recommendations. However, it may still appear in search results. There is a time limit on when muting words or phrases appears on your timeline, so make sure you don’t set it to forever.

You can mute Twitter recommendations on the web as well. The feature is a simple yet effective way to block notifications of certain types of Tweets. To find the exact text strings that will be removed from your timeline, visit Jono Pech’s GitHub repository. You’ll find the full list of the text strings under “mute” in the GitHub repository. You can also try adding more filters to your Twitter timeline.

Unfollow

If you’ve ever wished that you could turn off Twitter recommendations, then you’ve come to the right place. Twitter notifications are based on the topics and accounts you’ve followed. If you’ve recently followed a birder, for instance, you might be receiving notifications about bird feeders and binoculars. Twitter’s recommendation algorithm works to match your interests with other accounts you might be interested in, so unfollowing these accounts can help you avoid seeing those annoying notifications again.

There are a couple of different ways to turn off notifications on Twitter, and you can easily switch off each of them. MuteTweets is a great tool to temporarily unfollow a person. You can specify how long the unfollowing will last. If you want to keep a track of who you’re following, you can use MuteTweets. You can also choose to disable media previews. You can also turn off specific sources in the “Recommendations” section of your profile.

Disable

Having issues with Twitter recommendations? We have a solution for you! It’s easy to disable recommended tweets from the Twitter app by going to settings. The top right-hand corner of the app will have a few options to change. You can disable the notifications that you get from Twitter by clicking on the three dots. Then select “See less often” at the bottom. Occasionally, you may open the app only to find it is flooded with notifications about tweets you’ve liked or people talking about.

This feature is also available on mobile devices. On iOS, you’ll need to go to Settings > Privacy & security>Recommendations. From here, you’ll need to tap Notifications > Notifications. If you’re on Android, you can skip the next step and select “No” when asked to confirm. On iOS, you’ll need to tap “Allow” to enable the feature.

Mute keywords

To limit the amount of time you see tweets from specific people, you can mute them. You can also select specific words or phrases, usernames, emojis, or hashtags to block them. Any tweets that contain these keywords will no longer trigger Twitter SMS or push notifications. The mute feature also does not affect the timeline in your home feed. Once you mute Twitter recommendations, the user will not know that they are being muted.

To mute tweets from certain accounts, you need to visit Twitter’s settings page. Click on the profile icon and select Settings. Under “Privacy and Safety,” select the section titled Mute and block. Scroll down until you see “Mute words,” then select the option and enter the word you want to block. You can do this once every week or every day. After you do this, your posts will no longer appear in your timeline. You can then repeat the process if you wish to block a particular hashtag.

How to Turn Off Twitter Recommendations If you’ve ever wondered how to turn off Twitter recommendations, it’s probably because of the large amount of data it collects from your tweets.
