Neera Tanden&#8217;s Twitter account is a tad bit erratic, but she does occasionally post politically charged tweets.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, CNN&#8217;s KFile investigation found that the former US senator deleted more than a thousand tweets after the election. The tweets, which targeted the former president, were a response to WikiLeaks&#8217; release of emails between Tanden and Jim Podesta, the former chair of Hillary Clinton&#8217;s presidential campaign. These tweets, such as one referring to Collins&#8217; recent comments calling a black woman &#8220;a dog,&#8221; were made in the context of Brett Kavanaugh&#8217;s confirmation hearings. The tweets, which came in response to Christine Blasey Ford&#8217;s testimony that Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her during the high school years, were deleted by Tanden.<\/p>\n<p>Republican senators are signaling concern about the comments, although they typically ignore President Donald Trump&#8217;s taunts. It appears that some Republicans plan to fight the nomination, though Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, said that Tanden is the worst nominee so far, despite having expressed his opposition to Biden&#8217;s other nominees. The Democratic media strategist Erik Smith has tweeted that Tanden&#8217;s tweets about Murkowski were &#8220;not helpful.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While the tweets of Democratic nominee Neera Tanden were not helpful, it was clear that they were a way to push Murkowski. The Democratic nominee was opposed by Murkowski, but the White House stepped in to defend her nomination. Murkowski&#8217;s vote to allow drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge ended the nomination process.
