Personalized ads are based on topics you post about, so you can unfollow topics you are known for. Also, you can choose to limit the information Twitter uses to tailor ads to your interests. Twitter explains how this works below.<\/p>\n<p>To avoid personalized ads, you can opt out of the feature. Twitter has enabled personalization by tailoring recommendations based on information you provide on the site. Personalized ads are paid for sponsored tweets, promoted accounts, and Twitter Cards. The company also partners with third-party behavioural advertising companies that follow you from website to website. Unchecking Personalized ads in your privacy settings will prevent the site from tailoring ads to your interests.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Unchecking_Off-Twitter_Activity\"><\/span>Unchecking Off-Twitter Activity<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you have a Twitter account, you can control what you see on the site by checking the &#8220;This Tweet might contain sensitive content&#8221; box. This option allows you to control what others can see, such as pictures, videos, or text. Twitter has strict policies to prevent inappropriate content. However, you can also choose to show sensitive content to certain people, such as friends or colleagues. To do so, you must toggle the &#8220;This Tweet might contain sensitive content&#8221; setting on the privacy settings page.<\/p>\n<p>This option only applies to users in countries in the European Union. You should also know that Twitter allows partners to view your data for advertising purposes. By unchecking this box, your activity remains anonymous. If you do not want to see your tweets, however, you can check the box and choose not to display them to people you follow. Twitter will still use data about your location and interests to target ads, but you can also disable all of these features to avoid advertising based on your location and interests. Fortunately, you can turn off these settings by adjusting the privacy settings on your device.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re concerned about the privacy of your location, you can always delete it from your account. Twitter will track where you&#8217;ve been on the internet before you landed on a particular site. However, it may also track you beyond that website. It uses this information to personalize your experience. If you&#8217;re one of these users, you can disable this warning on your mobile device. Twitter is a social media network where you can find a wide variety of content, including tweets, images, videos, live streams, and more. While there are accounts that promote violent content, children&#8217;s content, and even government information, there&#8217;s no shortage of adult and violent content. If you&#8217;ve been flagged by Twitter, you&#8217;re probably wondering if this warning is appropriate for you or not.<\/p>\n<p>To disable the sensitive content warning on Twitter, you need to log in on a web browser instead of logging into the Twitter app. This option is available only on the web version of the website; if you&#8217;re using the Twitter mobile app, you won&#8217;t see it. After signing in, tap on your profile avatar. Choose Settings and Privacy.
