Those protests are held in New Orleans, and Ngo is a top Antifa enemy. Since his arrest, he has spread dangerous rhetoric on Twitter to right-wing extremists, specifically targeting civil rights protestors. Meanwhile, he has also been accosted by a progressive freelance writer, who is outraged by the anti-government rhetoric he hears on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>After the protest, Ngo posted a YouTube video where he claimed to be Ben Smith. Several of the videos featured armed security guards protecting the JFPK protest. One video showed an armed guard, posing as a sex offender. Ngo&#8217;s followers could use this information to identify a member of the JFPK security team.<\/p>\n<p>While Ngo was a pro-life activist who wrote about the murders of unarmed women in New York, he was attacked by a man who is close to Patriot Prayer and has been doxed by Alt-Right websites. During the Cider Riot protest on May 1st, Ngo was among those who took part in the brutal attack on Antifa. Ngo did not claim to be an unbiased photographer, and he was filmed running toward the flank of the Antifa march with his GoPro camera. The journalist has been defamed by several people and has caused material harm to many individuals. Ngo has long been a friend of the Atomwaffen, and has even provided the group with kill lists. Although his actions are not directly linked to his work, his journalistic efforts have caused many to become suspicious of his actions.<\/p>\n<p>But Ngo&#8217;s characterization of the left is laughably pathetic. In the book, he lists several radical pamphlets distributed by anarchist collectives. He implies that these pamphlets are &#8220;motivating&#8221; the terrorist insurgency. However, this argument is hollow, and the literature Ngo references is largely obscure. But Ngo&#8217;s lawsuit is not about ending alleged theft; it&#8217;s also about standing up for others. Ngo has repeatedly denied being a terrorist, despite his audience&#8217;s fervor for violent politics. Ngo&#8217;s tweets are a reflection of a broader societal shift toward nativism.<\/p>\n<p>Ngo has been accused of copying videos from Morgan and Lewis, but he has claimed fair use, which allows him to use copyrighted material without infringement. In addition, fair use requires that Ngo include commentary or criticism. Ngo&#8217;s videos are not accompanied by captions, and he seems to be using them to report events rather than as an example of &#8220;artists.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The story is part of a larger controversy about the media&#8217;s role in promoting far-right causes. In a bizarre case of media censorship, the mainstream media failed to note that Andy Ngo was a far-right activist, and his comments were merely commentary on the work of other media.
