Meanwhile, 7,000 users in the US reported having issues with Instagram.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear whether the outage is related to the company&#8217;s servers, or a malfunction in the devices of users. However, users have reported that shutting down the app has resolved the issue for them. They have also reported success by logging out and logging back in again. If none of these solutions works, the next step is to restart your phone and install the Instagram app again. A downdetector tracking website showed that 65 percent of complaints were about the app. Only 25 percent were about the server connection. Clearly, something was wrong with the Instagram server. The downtime lasted several hours. However, it has been restored now. Users can now use Instagram to post photos and videos and share them with friends. The site is also back up and running.<\/p>\n<p>A number of users reported outages on Monday, with the number of reports reaching as high as 98,851 at 11:59 a.m. ET and 55,232 at 12:29 p.m. ET. The average number of outages is between 23 and 27 reports. This means that users who engage with other posts get more exposure.<\/p>\n<p>The social networking site&#8217;s users may not be aware of the changes. Instagram employees told The Verge that the censorship of pro-Palestinian content was not intended and was caused by the algorithm. Instagram then changed the algorithm to prioritize original content. In response, the company confirmed on Sunday that it would now prioritize chronological order over re-shares.
