This was followed by a rage-filled Twitter discussion, where fans expressed their outrage and supported Pokimane.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"JiDions_harassment_of_Pokimane\"><\/span>JiDion&#8217;s harassment of Pokimane<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After a series of abusive tweets from JiDion&#8217;s fans, Pokimane has finally made it clear that she will not take this harassment lying down. The Japanese singer posted screenshots of the harassment to her Twitter account, which were later shared by Pokimane&#8217;s followers. She also apologized to JiDion for the &#8220;harrassment&#8221; she had caused her and later got banned on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>During the past year, JiDion has repeatedly harassed Pokimane. He has defended his actions by saying that he dislikes her purely because she is a female, but the fact is that his behavior is not limited to that. JiDion also harassed her fans on Twitch, claiming they are &#8220;sexually attracted to her.&#8221; This prompted Pokimane to cut her stream early to protect viewers.<\/p>\n<p>The third Twitch streamer, JiDion, is also embroiled in a rift with his fan Ninja. Pokimane, who has 17 million followers, has accused JiDion of harassing her. However, the Twitch rules prohibit offsite activity and JiDion&#8217;s apology was ineffective. While he apologized to Pokimane for his actions, he&#8217;s still banned on Twitter for harassment of her.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"JiDions_sexist_comments\"><\/span>JiDion&#8217;s sexist comments<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Despite the fact that his sexist comments were not directed at any particular person, his fans were upset enough to call JiDion a &#8220;petty guy&#8221; and ban him from Twitter. However, JiDion has not publicly refuted the claims and has since deleted the tweets. In response, the Blevins family has vowed to sue him.<\/p>\n<p>A fan of JiDion on Twitter reportedly re-tweeted a video of Pokimane using the N-word during a stream. As JiDion&#8217;s stream had more subscribers, he decided to send a &#8220;hate raid&#8221; to Pokimane&#8217;s chat. While Pokimane was calm throughout the incident, she reminded JiDion that his comments violated Twitch&#8217;s Terms of Service.<\/p>\n<p>After he got banned from Twitch, JiDion began streaming on YouTube. Sadly, YouTube has its fair share of content creators who harass women and slurs their viewers. While it is not a censorship platform, JiDion&#8217;s sexist comments have led to targeted harassment of Pokimane. While JiDion&#8217;s ban on Twitch is unlikely to last long, the backlash against Twitch could be substantial if he were to ever get his account back.<\/p>\n<p>After JiDion&#8217;s initial suspension from Twitch for 14 days, the website upgraded his ban to a permanent one. He tweeted about this ban on January 17th. However, despite his attempts to make amends, the ban is unlikely to reverse. The ban is a permanent one, so the esports player should prepare for a lengthy period of isolation.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Other_female_streamers_support_for_Pokimane\"><\/span>Other female streamers&#8217; support for Pokimane<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After undergoing online harassment and being targeted by JiDion, other female streamers have stepped in to show their support for Pokimane. They have criticized the misogynistic remarks and questioned whether a female streamer&#8217;s looks are the only criteria that should be used to judge them. Pokimane maintains that good looks do not make her less attractive and should not be used to judge a person based on how good they are.<\/p>\n<p>Other female streamers&#8217; support for Pokiane is a good sign that women in the gaming community are finally starting to realize their value. While some people may still be apprehensive about female streamers&#8217; comments, many viewers are happy that their favorite gamer finally spoke her mind and took action. Despite the backlash, Pokimane has continued to rise above the vitriol and criticism, and she is now one of the most popular female streamers on the internet.<\/p>\n<p>Pokimane, who has a combined YouTube following of over 8 million subscribers, continues to gain popularity. Her recent foray into Fortnite Battle Royale has given her a boost in popularity, and she has already announced the creation of her own Fortnite Game Emote in partnership with Epic Games.
