Twitter has stated that it may change this policy in the future. Similarly, Instagram has been testing new feed options, including chronological order without post suggestions. For now, there is no known way to remove the home tab. However, you can still customize the order of your timeline. Here are some tips for using the new timeline settings.

Creating a list

You can now create lists on Twitter. Lists are a great way to group like-minded people. You can create a list for sports teams, authors, comedians, deal websites, or anything else. Twitter lists let you sort tweets into groups based on topics. These lists are essentially like an RSS reader on Twitter. You can add as many accounts as you want, and then simply peek into those lists.

Once you’ve created a list on Twitter, you’ll be able to use it as your main timeline. To do this, you’ll need to update your Twitter app. You can also create a list and pin it to your home screen. You can then edit this list at any time. Creating a list on Twitter is a quick and simple way to hide the home tab and free up space on your home screen.

Hide unwanted tweets

Are you constantly receiving unsolicited tweets on Twitter? Want to delete them? Here are some tips to hide these tweets from your Twitter feed. First, change your Twitter settings. In your profile settings, you can choose whether to see all tweets or just those you’ve favorited. In the same way, you can also limit the information you see on your profile feed. Below, you’ll discover two ways to hide tweets.

To hide replies from your followers, tap the dotted square icon next to the offending tweet. By default, hidden replies are not visible to the original tweet. However, if you want to read them, simply click the dotted square icon. By hiding these tweets, you’ll be able to avoid getting flooded with spam, while keeping Twitter’s nastiness to yourself. However, this method isn’t for everyone. Not only is it difficult to do, but it can also make it more frustrating for you.

Switching between timelines

Thankfully, Twitter has made switching between timelines easier than ever. The latest update introduced an icon on the home tab, called Latest, that lets you switch between the timelines without tapping on the glitter icon. Now, users can swipe between the timelines to see the most recent tweets of the accounts they follow. The new feature is rolling out to Twitter for iOS first, but it will soon make its way to a number of popular Android phones and to the web. Beta testing for the new feature started in October last year, and it’s coming soon to many of the most popular Android devices, too.

The feature allows Twitter users to toggle between the chronological and algorithmic timelines. The chronological timeline displays tweets from people you follow, while the curated timeline shows all tweets from all your followers. Casual users may not realize that the tweets they see on a chronological timeline are actually curated. However, if you’d prefer to see the tweets of the people you follow on a particular day, you can toggle between the two timelines at any time.

Editing your timeline

If you’re sick of the ‘Home’ tab and want to move your timeline to another area, there’s a simple way to do it. Twitter’s new interface lets you pin your lists to the homescreen in a swipeable way. Just tap ‘Pin to Home’ to enable this option. If you’d rather use the ‘Latest’ feed, you’ll need to edit your timeline first.

After Twitter’s new timeline design went live, users complained that it was too confusing to view the Home feed in its out-of-sequence state. But the company listened to the criticism and rolled out the new option last week for iOS devices. However, Twitter said Android users would soon have the option as well. Once you’ve done this, you can go back to your old timeline and change it to how you prefer to view it.

This change to the timeline navigation bar isn’t for everyone. While many users are happy about the new feature, others aren’t as thrilled. For those who prefer a classic, reverse-chronological feed, Twitter is testing a new way to switch between the home and latest timeline. Users can also disable the algorithmic timeline based on the number of followers, likes, and interests. Unfortunately, this makes it difficult to see the latest tweets from accounts you follow.

How to Get Rid of Home Tab on Twitter While you can still view tweets in chronological order on Twitter, the home tab will appear first.
