A law firm representing Musk has said he saved Tesla millions of dollars by buying the shares at lower prices. However, the firm has a long history of animosity with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It was recently unsuccessful in persuading a New York judge to release Musk from a 2018 agreement with the SEC, which requires him to censor his social media posts. In addition to denying Musk&#8217;s Twitter bid, the lawyers argue, this agreement is a&#8217;money pit&#8217; for Tesla.<\/p>\n<p>Elon Musk&#8217;s tweets about Twitter&#8217;s top lawyer Vijaya Gadde led to a backlash on the company&#8217;s ranks and files.
