Choose Restricted Mode to enable parental controls. Then, their child will no longer be able to view adult content.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"YouTubes_Restricted_Mode\"><\/span>YouTube&#8217;s Restricted Mode<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you are worried about your child viewing videos that might be offensive to them, you can use YouTube&#8217;s Restricted Mode to protect them from harmful content. Restricted Mode is not foolproof, so if you&#8217;re worried about what your child will watch, you may want to disable it completely. However, if you have multiple devices that need access to YouTube, you may find that Restricted Mode is useless.<\/p>\n<p>Restricted Mode filters videos to remove inappropriate content from YouTube&#8217;s search results. It works by excluding content that has been flagged by the YouTube community or marked as &#8220;mature audiences only&#8221; by content creators. While Restricted Mode may be a useful tool for parental control, it&#8217;s important to remember that it doesn&#8217;t work 100 percent of the time. That&#8217;s why parents should still use other methods of parental control, such as a Family Agreement, to protect their children from harmful content.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"YouTubes_Safer_YouTube_UI_for_Kids\"><\/span>YouTube&#8217;s Safer YouTube UI for Kids<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you have young children, you&#8217;ll be happy to know that YouTube has launched a new safe viewing experience for them. YouTube&#8217;s Safer YouTube UI for Kids prevents your child from seeing inappropriate content. To enable this mode, navigate to the bottom of the YouTube page and click the &#8220;Safety&#8221; drop-down menu. To set the setting as &#8220;always on,&#8221; click &#8220;lock&#8221;. If you use multiple browsers, you&#8217;ll need to repeat the process in every browser.<\/p>\n<p>YouTube Kids has improved parental control by filtering videos by age and gender. The site allows parents to explicitly whitelist content and channel categories, and they can co-watch the videos while monitoring their child&#8217;s viewing history. This update is targeted toward tweens, which are generally eight to twelve years old. It also provides new content that&#8217;s geared towards this demographic. It&#8217;s worth noting that the app is available for both Android and iOS platforms.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"YouTube_Kids_app\"><\/span>YouTube Kids app<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>YouTube Kids app for Android allows parents to set up the limits for children on YouTube videos. Parents can approve content for children and edit the list as needed. They can also see what their child will experience before approving it. Parents can also turn off the Search feature in the settings to restrict the videos their children can watch. Once the kids have reached the age of eight, they can start watching a supervised video. But parents should be aware that their children may use the app without their permission.<\/p>\n<p>Parents can set the content filtering on YouTube and block videos for children who are under a certain age. The app also has a Safe Search filter to block content that is inappropriate for children. Parents can also limit the number of videos their kids can watch and report them. There are some disadvantages, however. This app will only block videos from certain categories. So parents should consider a few things before downloading the app for their children.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Mobicips_parental_controls\"><\/span>Mobicip&#8217;s parental controls<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re worried that your child is watching inappropriate YouTube videos, Mobicip&#8217;s parental controls on YouTube can help. This free parental control app works with the YouTube Android app and web browser to filter videos that contain suggestive words. Mobicip also tracks your child&#8217;s location. The best part about Mobicip is that it is completely safe. You can set up the app on your child&#8217;s device to monitor the location of the device and block any apps that are not safe for kids.<\/p>\n<p>Mobicip also features web filters and a default screen time schedule that is based on your child&#8217;s age. This feature blocks apps and websites when your child should be sleeping or at school. It also allows your child to use the phone for educational purposes. Of course, you can also change the settings and block everything. Fortunately, Mobicip is free for a 7-day trial.
