He has founded several artificial intelligence start-up companies and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science. YouTube&#8217;s founder is also a former employee of PayPal and worked with the company&#8217;s developers in developing its video player. YouTube in India is the company&#8217;s fourth largest market. The company recently announced plans to add India as a new market for its video streaming platform.<\/p>\n<p>Chen and Hurley were frustrated with the number of meetings that YouTube was having with Universal Music and other copyright holders. The two entrepreneurs agreed to work together and tell Yu they had started YouTube with the sole purpose of building a good product. They also discussed how they could sell YouTube to a bigger company with the resources to negotiate deals and solve infrastructure issues. They discussed possible partners with larger companies, and ultimately decided to approach YouTube&#8217;s board of directors. The deal was finalized after just three weeks.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Steve_Chen\"><\/span>Steve Chen<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When it comes to creating an innovative and powerful tool, the young minds are the ones who should be praised. Many revolutionary ideas have changed the way the world connects with one another. Thanks to YouTube, people can connect with anyone in the world in the blink of an eye. The founder of YouTube, Steve Chen, has also helped in creating an empowering and popular platform for youth. With his passion and drive, he has taken the idea of YouTube from the drawing board to the reality.<\/p>\n<p>Chen is an incredibly energetic businessman who doesn&#8217;t want to stop at just one success. He co-founded AVOS Systems, Inc. with Chad Hurley and Vijay Krishnamurthy. The company went on to acquire Delicious from Yahoo! Inc. and later sold it to Science, Inc. in 2014. Chen is also actively investing in start-ups, and YouTube in India is no exception.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Jawed_Karim\"><\/span>Jawed Karim<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When YouTube launched, Jawed Karim was one of the three co-founders. He started making public appearances shortly afterward, including launching YVentures, formerly known as Youniversity Ventures. The company has since invested in companies like Airbnb, Palantir, Eventbrite, and Twitter. However, after launching YouTube India, Jawed Karim essentially vanished from the scene, not having a social media presence.<\/p>\n<p>The founder of YouTube India is an interesting character, as he has a background in computer science, having attended the University of Illinois. However, he left before completing his degree and joined PayPal, where he worked as a programmer and later as a software developer. This time, he finished his education and earned his master&#8217;s degree in computer science from Stanford University, where he continued his studies.<\/p>\n<p>According to Forbes, Jawed Karim is worth at least $300 million. He founded YouTube with Steve Chen and Brian Hurley in February 2005. After selling YouTube, he launched his own venture capital fund, and has invested in startups like Airbnb. In fact, he was one of the first investors in Airbnb, and the fund has a track record of early investments. The company is owned by a Bangladeshi, but Karim has worked to make it as a global brand.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Chad_Hurley\"><\/span>Chad Hurley<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>YouTube India is led by former eBay co-founder and CEO, Chad Hurley. Before joining YouTube, Hurley was working for eBay&#8217;s PayPal division, focusing on the user interface and logo design. He then founded YouTube, which is an online video platform and operates a global payment system. After forming YouTube India in 2005, Hurley partnered with Jawed Karim and Steve Chen to build the video sharing platform.<\/p>\n<p>YouTube was founded in February 2005 by three PayPal employees. Eventually, the website has grown to be the second most popular search engine after Google, and has become a major force in video content creation.
