Disabling browser extensions will unblock the site, but you should remove them first before you can enable YouTube Restricted Mode. The next step is to change your DNS server. Change to Google or an automatic server. If these options do not work, you may need to contact YouTube support for help.<\/p>\n<p>Enabling Restricted Mode is not as difficult as you might think. This opt-in mode allows you to prevent access to potentially offensive videos, images, and other content. The mode is activated on both the computer and mobile site. To turn off Restricted Mode, you must delete your cache and data. This will delete any downloaded videos and restore default settings. If you&#8217;re running on a public computer, you may have to contact the system administrator to enable Restricted Mode for security purposes.<\/p>\n<p>To turn off Restricted Mode, go to the settings section of your YouTube account and click on the profile icon. To the right of this menu, you will see a checkbox. Click on the box to enable or disable Restricted Mode. Make sure that Restricted Mode is not enabled if you&#8217;re on a network controlled by another entity. Alternatively, you can enable Restricted Mode for a single network, and then enable it for all websites.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Clear_cache_and_cookie\"><\/span>Clear cache and cookie<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve been experiencing trouble accessing YouTube, you might be able to turn off YouTube restricted mode by clearing the cache and cookies. However, if you&#8217;re using a public computer, you may need to go to your account settings to remove the restriction. You may also be able to solve this problem by disabling your anti-virus program. If all else fails, follow the steps below to turn off YouTube Restricted Mode.<\/p>\n<p>Sign into your Google account to turn off the restricted mode. Open the YouTube app on your browser and tap on the account icon in the top right corner. Log in with your Google account and password. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the settings option. Disable the toggle next to &#8220;Activate Restricted mode.&#8221; Your browser will refresh after you&#8217;ve disabled the restriction. Alternatively, you can log out of your Google account.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve turned off YouTube&#8217;s Restricted Mode, you may want to change the server location for your device to access videos available in your country. To do this, go to the Settings page, select the app, and click the &#8220;Clear data and cookie to turn off YouTube restricted mode&#8221;. Repeat the process if necessary. Once you&#8217;ve completed this, YouTube should run as normal. If the app is still running extremely slowly, you can click &#8220;Clear data\/storage&#8221; to restore it to its default settings.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Update_your_browser\"><\/span>Update your browser<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to avoid the restrictions that YouTube imposes on its users, you can update your browser to turn off YouTube Restricted Mode. YouTube&#8217;s website uses a system known as &#8220;Restricted Mode,&#8221; which prevents minors from viewing adult content. In order to turn off Restricted Mode on YouTube, sign into your account and click the profile picture. Click the &#8216;Enable Restricted Mode&#8217; option to enable the restriction. It will be grey when you&#8217;re in Restricted Mode, but blue when it&#8217;s enabled. You can turn off Restricted Mode at any time by following a few simple steps.<\/p>\n<p>Changing the server location is another method to disable YouTube Restricted Mode. If you&#8217;re on a public network, you can try turning off Restricted Mode manually by clearing your cache and cookies. You may have to sign in with another account in order to turn off Restricted Mode if you don&#8217;t know your password. However, this method is effective for allowing you to watch content from YouTube that isn&#8217;t available in your country.<\/p>\n<p>First, go to your YouTube website. Click on the profile icon in the top right corner. Choose the settings tab. Next, go to the Settings section. The Restricted Mode icon should be grey. If you&#8217;re on a mobile device, open the YouTube mobile app and click on the settings icon. The settings tab should display the Restricted Mode icon.
