Persistent notifications are notifications that don&#8217;t require any interaction from the user. Disabling these notifications was made easier in Android&#8217;s software update, but Google may have changed their implementation to allow them to be dismissed again.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most common causes of notifications is an app that does not have the permission to run in the background. You can also change the priority of apps. If a certain app is set to high priority, it won&#8217;t be killed in the background, so you&#8217;ll get an optimum battery saving level.<\/p>\n<p>You can also disable persistent notifications by going to the Action Center on your Android device. Click on the notification, press the Settings button, and choose Notifications under alert. You&#8217;ll be able to hide the content of notifications by turning on a toggle button. You can also turn off push notifications altogether. And that&#8217;s all it takes! So, there you have it &#8211; the most important step in the process of turning off persistent notifications.<\/p>\n<p>The other great advantage of disabling notifications in the background is that it will not affect shortcuts you want. This means that you won&#8217;t get notifications for things you don&#8217;t use all the time, like the Dynamic Wallpaper. There are also some downsides to disabling notifications in the background.<\/p>\n<p>In Android 8.0 and newer, notifications can be disabled in the background so that they don&#8217;t interrupt your activities. If you&#8217;d rather turn off notifications completely, you can enable Do Not Disturb mode and make notifications disappear immediately. In iOS, you can do this by swiping up from the lock screen.<\/p>\n<p>Another solution is to install 3rd party apps that can manage background processes and prevent the notifications. You can also install battery saving apps. Some 3rd party apps may prevent notifications from appearing in the background, and they will interfere with the notification process. Disabling notifications in the background can be useful for preventing Facebook notifications from being a distraction. You can also install 3rd party battery-saving apps to prevent your device from running out of power, and some of these applications may cause the same problem.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to stop receiving notifications from specific apps, you can turn off their banners. To do this, open the Settings app and go to the Notifications section. Tap on Notifications. You&#8217;ll find a setting for this under &#8220;Apps and Notifications.&#8221; Once you&#8217;re in that area, tap on Notifications on the lock screen. Tap on Don&#8217;t show notifications to prevent them from appearing in the background.<\/p>\n<p>Some Android phones have an adaptive battery feature that makes notifications disappear as soon as they are received. Some manufacturers include power-saving tools or block apps they feel are not useful. Fortunately, Xiaomi has a preloaded app called Security. You can use this instead of installing third-party battery saver apps. Aside from the battery saving app, Android&#8217;s latest versions have massive power optimizations.
