This type of messaging is usually used by micro-influencers with large followings.<\/p>\n<p>DM stands for direct message, and it&#8217;s a very effective way to connect with other people online. Unlike sending emails, DMs allow you to talk to someone on your own terms, and are generally more conversational. Direct messages differ from other social media platforms, however. For Facebook, you can send a DM to anyone on your list, but they go to the message request folder, so the recipient must approve it before they can continue the conversation.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"PM_private_message\"><\/span>PM (private message)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When it comes to social media, a PM (private message) on Facebook is a convenient way to communicate with others. While you can chat on your post and message others in the comments section, you can also send a message privately. There are many benefits to using a private message on Facebook. In this article, we&#8217;ll take a closer look at how you can use a PM to communicate with others.<\/p>\n<p>To send a private message to a friend, first sign into your Facebook account. Next, navigate to the profile of the person you want to send a message to. Click the &#8220;message&#8221; icon on the person&#8217;s profile. Next, type your message in the highlighted box at the bottom of the message window. Once you have written your message, tap &#8220;send&#8221; and wait for your friend to see it.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Adding_a_signature\"><\/span>Adding a signature<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can add a signature to your private messages on Facebook. Just go to the conversation screen and click on the signature menu. Once you click on the menu, a new input field will appear below the text entry box. You can add a text or icon signature to your message. Make sure to add the full URL to your Facebook page, and type it in the signature box. The signature will appear at the end of your message.<\/p>\n<p>A signature is useful for coordinating events, meetings, reunions, and other personal events. You can also include a signature in Yahoo Mail. You can change your signature by going into the &#8220;Options&#8221; or &#8220;SMS&#8221; menu and then selecting &#8220;Signature.&#8221; If you want to add a signature in text messages, you can also download third-party apps. Handcent is one of the most popular apps for this purpose. Chomp SMS and Go SMS are other popular apps.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Attaching_files\"><\/span>Attaching files<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you have multiple files that you need to send to a single friend, you may want to compress them to reduce their size and send them as a zip file. Windows and Mac users can do this by right-clicking or control-clicking the folder in question and selecting &#8216;zipped files&#8217;. You can then attach the file to your message just like you would with other files. The file you attach to a Facebook message will be visible on the Facebook website and will be downloaded to your iPhone.<\/p>\n<p>You can attach files to a Facebook private message using the Messenger app. The first step is to open your Facebook account and click the Messenger icon. In the new dialog box, tap More Actions. Tap the paper clip icon to add an attachment. Next, navigate to the PDF file that you want to send. Click Send and enter the recipient&#8217;s email address. Alternatively, you can send a document via Gmail.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Deleteing_a_message\"><\/span>Deleteing a message<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When you send a private message on Facebook, you can choose to delete it. However, the message will be visible to the person with whom you are talking even if you&#8217;ve deleted it. This is true of all Facebook messages &#8211; private, group, and chat messages. Deleted messages cannot be recovered if they&#8217;ve been sent within 10 minutes of their sending date. So, it&#8217;s best to delete them as soon as you receive them.<\/p>\n<p>First, you can delete a private message. This feature is available to users on iOS and Android. If the message has already been sent, you can also delete it by using the browser. You can also &#8220;unsend&#8221; messages after six months, but you must first ask the recipient to delete them. Deleted messages won&#8217;t appear in the recipient&#8217;s draft space.
