Choosing &#8220;Friends of friends&#8221; will prevent other users from seeing the &#8220;Add Friend&#8221; option unless they&#8217;re already a friend of that user. To make sure that the user is not blocking you, try adding a friend first and then send a request.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Turning_off_friend_requests_on_Facebook\"><\/span>Turning off friend requests on Facebook<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re tired of receiving unwanted friend requests from random strangers, turning off Facebook friend requests is the way to go. While a large percentage of these requests are harmless, you may not want them to infiltrate your Facebook page. In order to stop these requests, turn off Facebook friend requests in your settings. You can do this from the System Settings page. Click the &#8220;User&#8221; tab in the upper-right corner and choose &#8220;Friends.&#8221; Here, go to the &#8220;Friends&#8221; section and click on the option that says &#8220;Received Friend Requests.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Facebook offers a variety of tools for blocking friend requests. The &#8220;Friend Requests&#8221; tab in the privacy tab of your profile allows you to block requests from marketers, spammers, and stalkers. You can also block profiles with whom you have mutual friends. And don&#8217;t forget about the fact that the average Facebook user can only add 5000 friends. Turning off Facebook friend requests will stop you from receiving more than 5,000 requests per day.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Limiting_the_number_of_people_who_can_add_you_as_a_friend\"><\/span>Limiting the number of people who can add you as a friend<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can limit the number of people who can add you as their friend in various ways. By default, you have 5,000 friends, but if you wish to limit the number of people you can add to your friend list, you need to change this setting. After reaching the limit, you cannot accept any more friend requests from them. You can unfriend them to bring the number of friends down to the desired level.<\/p>\n<p>While the default setting is &#8220;Everyone,&#8221; you can also choose &#8220;Friends of friends&#8221; to limit who can add you. This way, only people who are friends with one of your friends will see the &#8220;Add Friend&#8221; option. If you want to limit the number of people who can add you as a friend, try adding someone who is already a friend of yours.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Viewing_sent_friend_requests_in_the_Facebook_Mobile_app\"><\/span>Viewing sent friend requests in the Facebook Mobile app<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To view sent friend requests, open the Facebook mobile app and go to the &#8220;Friends&#8221; page. Click the three dots in the top right corner of the screen. You should now see a list of sent requests. Click the &#8220;View Sent Requests&#8221; link. Follow the directions to view your sent requests. Alternatively, you can open the Facebook website and follow the same steps as above. Once you&#8217;ve located all of your sent friend requests, you can delete them.<\/p>\n<p>To view your sent friend requests on the Facebook mobile app, first login to your account. From there, click on the &#8216;Friends&#8217; icon on the home screen. Tap &#8216;Find Friends&#8217;, and then select &#8216;See All&#8217;. Next, tap &#8216;Send Friends Requests&#8217;. Once you&#8217;ve accessed the list, tap &#8216;Cancel&#8217; to delete your request. If you don&#8217;t want to accept the friend request, simply press &#8216;Cancel&#8217;.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Finding_friends_on_Facebook\"><\/span>Finding friends on Facebook<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking to find friends on Facebook, you can look through your current friends list to find the person you want to connect with. Then you can send them a friend request. After they accept, Facebook will display a list of suggested new friends. If you know the person, you can extend your virtual hand by introducing yourself and adding them. This method is effective for reaching out to friends who aren&#8217;t on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>To find a person, just type the name of the person into the search box at the top of the screen. Click &#8220;People You May Know&#8221; to view profiles of those who may have mutual friends. You can also click on &#8220;Recommended Friends&#8221; to see other people who may have mutual friends. If you&#8217;re not sure whether to accept a friend request, you can always cancel it later.
