If you’d rather stay away from it, you can disable its SMS updates. To do so, log in using your email address and password. Next, click the “Account Settings” link in the upper-right corner of any page. Click “Mobile” on the left sidebar and switch the setting to “Off.”

Temporary deactivation

If you’ve ever had to temporarily deactivate your Facebook account, you’ve probably wondered how this will affect your privacy. While you can still read posts on your friends’ walls, you won’t be able to access your account by clicking on your name or by clicking a link in a tagged photo. In addition, your status updates will be all but invisible. Finally, community pages that you belong to will no longer show you as a member. While this might seem like a big step to take, the process can be done quickly and easily.

Temporary deactivation on Facebook is not the same as permanently deleting your account. Instead, it will simply disable all your content and make your account invisible to other users. Your profile and timeline will remain available, but others won’t be able to see or contact you. If you want to take a break from the Facebook world temporarily, follow these steps. The next time you log in to Facebook, you can safely disable your account by choosing a timeframe to temporarily deactivate it.

You can also deactivate your account by choosing a date from one to seven days. If you are considering a shorter period, however, it is recommended to select a date from one to seven days. If you need to deactivate your account immediately, Facebook will log you out of all your devices. You can choose a different date from the list if you wish to return to the social network. But be aware that deleting your account immediately after disabling it can have consequences.

Limiting audience of old posts on your Timeline

Facebook has introduced new functionality that lets you control who can view the old posts you share. Limiting the audience of old posts is a good way to make sure only your friends can see them. Log in to your Facebook account, select the Privacy Settings menu, and then click Limit Old Posts. Once you’ve changed this setting, you’ll no longer see posts from the last year that you haven’t shared with your friends.

Until now, all of your old posts on Facebook were public, allowing anybody to see them. Now, you can restrict them to only your friends and people you’ve tagged. If you have a public page, you’ll probably have many posts from the past decade that you don’t want the general public to see. You can navigate through the years on the right side of the page to see old posts.

Limiting audience of private messages

Limiting the audience of your private messages on Facebook is possible if you want to share some of your most personal information with just certain people. You can add this setting to your Facebook privacy settings. Unlike public posts, messages sent by others do not go into your inbox. They are instead sent to a folder known as “message requests.” When you get messages from others, you can reply to them, ignore them, or delete them.

You can also limit the audience of your posts on Facebook. To do this, go to Settings > Privacy and Security and choose the audience you want to view your posts. By default, this will be Friends. But you can select More or Specific friends to limit the audience. This will help you choose who sees your updates, but will prevent them from showing up in your News Feed. Even if you don’t limit your audience, you can still protect your privacy.

How to Turn Off Facebook If you’re tired of Facebook’s constant pinging, you may want to know how to turn off Facebook.
