Once you&#8217;ve done this, you&#8217;ll be invisible to anyone who visits your profile!<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Turn_off_your_active_status\"><\/span>Turn off your active status<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>One way to hide your Facebook profile from the public is by turning off your active status. While some people like the fact that friends and family know when you&#8217;re online, others find it intrusive. Either way, you can easily turn off your active status on Facebook. Here&#8217;s how. First, log out of Facebook. To do this, log in to Facebook on your PC. Click the down-pointing arrow on your profile and click on the &#8216;Log out&#8217; button. After that, click &#8216;Settings &amp; privacy&#8217; from the drop-down menu. Then, select &#8216;Security &amp; login&#8217; on the left-hand side of your display.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;re logged into Facebook, visit your profile page. Click on the &#8220;Edit Profile&#8221; link in the top-left corner. There, you&#8217;ll find a drop-down menu with the word &#8220;Active Status.&#8221; Select &#8220;Turn off Active Status.&#8221; This will turn off your Facebook account for everyone except for certain contacts. Now, you&#8217;ll be able to manage your status through Facebook. You can also customize the settings of your friends and relatives.<\/p>\n<p>The menu is located in the bottom-right corner of the screen. From here, you&#8217;ll see &#8220;Settings &amp; Privacy&#8221; and &#8220;Active Status.&#8221; Click on the box next to Show when I&#8217;m active to hide your status for all people except the people listed there. Once you&#8217;ve entered the people you want to hide, click &#8220;OK&#8221; to save your settings. You can also use the &#8220;Edit Profile&#8221; button to remove the option from selected friends.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Disable_chat_for_all_your_friends_except\"><\/span>Disable chat for all your friends except<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you want to stop receiving messages from your friends on Facebook, you can disable chat for all your friends. To do this, login to your Facebook account and go to the chat sidebar. Click on the Settings button. From here, you can turn off chat for your friends, or only for some of them. After you turn off chat, you can turn it back on again. Then, your friends will be unable to chat with you any longer.<\/p>\n<p>To disable chat for all your Facebook friends, go to your Advanced Chat Settings page. You will see a list of friends who you&#8217;ve made offline. Select this list. Once you&#8217;ve chosen whom to block, you can choose to appear offline to these friends. You can also disable chat for all your Facebook friends. This is an easy way to hide from your friends. The list of friends can be customized based on your preferences.<\/p>\n<p>To disable chat for all your Facebook friends, log into your account and go to settings. Scroll down to the Chat menu, then tap the &#8220;Turn Off&#8221; icon. You can turn off chat for all your friends at once, or select specific friends. From there, you can send and receive messages without being seen as &#8220;online&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Customize_your_invisibility_settings\"><\/span>Customize your invisibility settings<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you want to go invisible on Facebook, there are a few steps you can take to make that possible. To make your posts invisible, go to the settings page and choose &#8220;Invisible.&#8221; There, you can edit the privacy settings to prevent certain people from seeing your updates. However, if you&#8217;re concerned about tracking, you can delete your Facebook account. This way, only your friends will know that you&#8217;re not online.<\/p>\n<p>The opposite of being invisible is making yourself visible to everyone. Facebook makes it possible for anyone to look up your name through their email address, phone number, or other information. While you may not want to share personal information with every random person, you still have to be aware that others can see your posts and photos. You can also disable the social action so that no one can see your posts and photos. Nevertheless, you can&#8217;t completely hide yourself on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>The first step is to turn off the &#8220;available&#8221; notification on Facebook. This will make it appear that you&#8217;re offline, but if a friend sends you a message, they won&#8217;t see you. However, you can still be visible to others in the Facebook chat application &#8211; messages will still come in to your inbox.
