Next, click on &#8220;Temporarily disable account.&#8221; Then, Instagram will ask if you want to delete the account. If you do so, it will sign you out of all of your devices, boot you back to the Instagram home page, and your account will be hidden from anyone who wants to see it.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Temporary_deactivation\"><\/span>Temporary deactivation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To temporarily disable your Instagram account, go to the settings page of your Instagram account and select the reason for the deactivation. You may be asked to enter your password. If you choose &#8216;other&#8217;, Instagram will not delete your account but will still keep a copy of your profile. Once you&#8217;re done, you can log back into your account and resume your work. However, if you don&#8217;t want to give up the benefits of Instagram, you can opt for permanent deactivation of your account.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you&#8217;re switching accounts or just want to clear your Instagram account, deleting your account is a complicated process. While you can still access your account, it will no longer be searchable by other Instagram users. This means that anyone trying to find your account will be unable to find it. Fortunately, Instagram backs up your content and personal information to a server. That way, even if you&#8217;ve forgotten to delete your account, you won&#8217;t lose anything &#8211; and you&#8217;ll be able to recover everything.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, temporary deactivation of Instagram is possible &#8211; if you have a mute button on your profile, you can temporarily disable your account on the platform. Once your account is deactivated, you can&#8217;t unfollow anyone on it. Moreover, you can&#8217;t unfollow anyone if you have a disabled account. This means that you lose one follower when you temporarily disable your account, but you&#8217;ll get a new one once you reactivate it.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Permanent_deletion\"><\/span>Permanent deletion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To permanently delete your Instagram account, follow these simple steps: click on the &#8216;Delete Account&#8217; link in the upper-right corner of the Instagram app, enter your password, and select the reason for the deletion. Once you&#8217;ve selected the reason for deleting the account, you must re-enter your password. If you&#8217;re unhappy with your account&#8217;s current status, you can also temporarily disable your account. This will hide it from public view while you work to restore it.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve completed these steps, you can visit the special account deletion request page on Instagram. Simply click on this link and enter your credentials. You may have to type your password twice if you&#8217;re logged in as several accounts at once. If you want to permanently delete your account, you must follow the steps described above. If you don&#8217;t wish to permanently delete your account, you can still recover it within a month.<\/p>\n<p>After you&#8217;ve deleted your Instagram account, you&#8217;ll receive an email containing the complete archive of your account. This archive file contains digital copies of all of the content associated with your account. The archive file is retained by Instagram for legal purposes. You can&#8217;t bring back your deleted account after 30 days, as your username might be taken by another person. However, if you&#8217;re within that 30-day window, you can bring it back. To do this, you&#8217;ll need to sign in with your username and password. Afterwards, you&#8217;ll see a window where you can press the &#8216;Keep Account&#8217; button.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Finding_out_if_someone_has_deactivated_their_instagram_account\"><\/span>Finding out if someone has deactivated their instagram account<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re wondering if someone has deactivated their Instagram account, you&#8217;ve come to the right place. Instagram users can deactivate their account at any time, but there are several ways to find out if someone has deactivated their account. To confirm this, try to use their username in a direct message or open their profile in private mode. If you can&#8217;t find the person, then you can check their profile URL to see if they&#8217;ve deactivated their account.<\/p>\n<p>If you know the username of a person, you can try searching for it in the search bar. Instagram accounts that have been deactivated are similar to their active counterparts. However, if you don&#8217;t know whether the person has removed their account, you can try searching for their username in the search bar. If it doesn&#8217;t give you any results, it&#8217;s likely that the person deactivated their account and have since removed it.<\/p>\n<p>If the person you want to find has removed their Instagram account, you can go to their profile page and check if it&#8217;s hidden or blocked. If the person has deactivated their account, they won&#8217;t be able to see yours. You can also check if they have reactivated their account. If they have, you should still block them. Alternatively, you can simply ask them to unblock you if they can see their own account.
