In the upper-left corner, you&#8217;ll find a More button with three dots. Click that and select &#8220;Cancel&#8221; from the menu. In the following steps, you&#8217;ll see the status of the request and how to delete it. Follow the instructions to cancel a friend request in Facebook. Now you can unfriend overactive friends. To do this, open the app and go to the &#8216;Friend requests&#8217; tab. Next, tap the &#8220;See All&#8221; option next to &#8220;Friend Request.&#8221; Then, tap the three dotted button on the top right corner of the screen. Then, tap &#8220;View Sent Requests&#8221; to see all friend requests that you&#8217;ve sent. To cancel all of your friend requests, simply tap the &#8220;Cancel&#8221; button next to the one you want to cancel.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Manage_friend_requests\"><\/span>Manage friend requests<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To manage your friend requests in Facebook, follow the steps outlined below. You can view and reject friend requests on desktop and mobile, and you can even notify people through Email and SMS. Rejecting a friend request will not notify the person you sent it to, and you can still accept it later. In addition, you can view and delete hidden friend requests. If you&#8217;re not sure whether or not to accept a friend request, you can see it in the hidden request list and confirm it.<\/p>\n<p>To manage pending friend requests, simply click on the three horizontal dots or lines in the upper right corner of your Facebook screen. You can also navigate to the &#8220;Friends&#8221; section in the upper right corner of your screen. From here, you can view the list of friends you&#8217;ve sent and received. You can also cancel friend requests by moving your cursor over the tab and selecting the appropriate option from the dropdown menu. Managing pending friend requests in Facebook is easy when you know how.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Unfriend_overactive_friends\"><\/span>Unfriend overactive friends<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Cancelling a friend request in Facebook is as easy as pressing the &#8220;Cancel request&#8221; button. This action is hidden from the sender of the request, but will not affect the recipient&#8217;s status. In fact, it may save you time. If you have received numerous friend requests in the past, it&#8217;s easy to spot which ones you need to cancel. If you&#8217;re not sure which one to delete, here are some easy tips to follow.<\/p>\n<p>Log in to Facebook and go to the &#8220;Friends&#8221; section. You&#8217;ll see a list of the people you&#8217;ve sent friend requests to. If you don&#8217;t remember who sent you a request, click the &#8220;View sent requests&#8221; option in the right-hand section. This section will list all the friend requests that you&#8217;ve received. You can also click &#8220;Reject request&#8221; if you&#8217;re not interested in corresponding with the sender.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Delete_a_friend_request\"><\/span>Delete a friend request<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you received a friend request from someone, but later decided that it was not for you, there is a way to delete it. You can follow their profile and block further requests. This way, you will not receive any more requests from the same person. This is a good idea if you are trying to keep a clean account. You&#8217;ll have less spam, and you won&#8217;t have to worry about people sending you friend requests again.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes, you may wonder how to delete a friend request in Facebook. While the process is not terribly complicated, it can be frustrating to find a friend request that you have rejected. To figure out if your request was accepted or rejected, look at the button on your profile. It will say &#8220;Requested&#8221; or &#8220;Added Friend&#8221; in bold text. If the person you were trying to friend has not clicked on this button, they didn&#8217;t accept it. If they have not accepted the request, you can find the button for &#8216;Sent Requests&#8217; in your &#8216;Friends&#8217; tab.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Confirm_a_friends_name\"><\/span>Confirm a friend&#8217;s name<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you receive a friend request from someone you&#8217;ve never met, you can confirm that they are not actually your friend by checking their profile. If you&#8217;re not sure whether the person is actually a friend of yours, click the &#8220;Do I know you?&#8221; link found under their profile picture. This will show whether the person has already confirmed or canceled their request. If you want to cancel the request, click the &#8220;Not Now&#8221; button, which will remove the person from your friends list.<\/p>\n<p>To confirm a person&#8217;s name, click the Friend Requests icon, which looks like a silhouette of two people. Click the link and scroll down to the bottom of the page. In the next window, enter the screen name and password. A list of possible friends will appear. If the name you&#8217;re looking for doesn&#8217;t appear, click the &#8220;See more results&#8221; link.
