Manual deletion of your Facebook account requires that you wait a month before it is completely removed from your phone. To ensure that you&#8217;ll be able to retrieve all of your information in that time, you can download the information you&#8217;ve deleted.<\/p>\n<p>However, if you&#8217;ve decided to delete your Facebook account permanently, you can do it yourself. The process is not as complicated as it sounds, and you can do it from the privacy of your home computer. You can disable the app on your phone through the Application Settings section. After that, the deletion process takes 90 days, after which time, your data is permanently deleted. You must have guardianship of the person in question, as well as a letter from their doctor or medical facility detailing their condition. Then, you can sign a form that Facebook has provided.<\/p>\n<p>The process for requesting the deletion of a Facebook account for a deceased person is relatively simple. To request the removal of a deceased person&#8217;s account, you must have the person&#8217;s full name, their Facebook profile URL, and proof of death (a death certificate, if applicable). You can also choose to temporarily deactivate the account until it is time for the family or executor to remove it.<\/p>\n<p>If the deceased person&#8217;s account is memorialized, the immediate family member or legacy contact can delete the account. To do so, you must provide evidence of death. If the documentation does not match, the account deletion request will be denied. Facebook will review the request and may request further documentation. You will receive a response within two days of filing your request.
