After blocking someone, Facebook will reply with an innocuous message, like &#8220;This person isn&#8217;t online right now.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>To block someone on Messenger, first sign in with your Facebook credentials. In the app, click on the &#8220;i&#8221; icon in the top right corner of the screen. Then, tap on the &#8220;Block&#8221; option. This will pop up a confirmation dialog box, which you should click. Next, you&#8217;ll have to select the person from your contacts list. If you&#8217;re having trouble doing this, you can always contact the person through another means.<\/p>\n<p>You can also ignore messages from blocked people. This will keep them from bothering you with messages. You will get a notification showing that a message was sent. But if you want to keep messages from people you&#8217;ve blocked, you can simply click on the &#8220;Ignore&#8221; button at the bottom of the message. Blocking someone is an easy process, and the results will be visible almost immediately. Opening them shows that you&#8217;ve read their message.
